New Case. YAY!

The next morning, Kayla's eyes opened from her slumber grunted out some sleep from her while rubbing her eyes before she inhaled some air from her nose and exhaling with huff before licking her dry lips and sliding off her bed and doing the usual. Brush her teeth, take a shower, change into clothes and found her brothers already awake drinking their coffee and some morning pastries. "Morning" Kayla said through a smile. 

"Hey"/"morning" Is what she got from the two of them leaving her with a frown "hey." she awkwardly said before grabbing her coffee and a cupcake before taking a bite and look at her brothers who were awkwardly glancing at the floor. Kayla etched a concerned frown on her face and said:

"Ok. Looks like the floor got interesting more than me. What's up?" 

The brothers looked up at each other and Sam awkwardly replied with "wh..what do you mean? Everything's fine" 

"Come on Sam, I know you guys more than anything. What's up?" 

"Nothing. Is up Kayla!" Dean said looking at her now trying not to be awkward again. 

"ok! See!! That's the thing!! You didn't even call me Kitty, You always call me Kitty in the morning! And Sam, you always smile and hug me. What is up?!" Kayla clarified with some stern tone before Sam looked down again and said "It's nothing bunny. It's the fact about Last night... That was a shock...we never thought of Cas being." 

Kayla's frown melted away before she sighed and looked down herself "So...that's the problem?" Kayla's voice got more to a whisper. Dean gazed at her "Look, Kayla. We love you. We were just shocked. We're sorry. We don't mean to be like this. It's just that the fact that Cas is.. he's getting more human...and it's shocking yet surprising. Don't fret about it." He whispered as he walked closer to her before he arrived in front of her and stroked her head once before stopping his hand on her cheek before he pressed a kiss on her forehead. Kayla softly smiled at them before her eyes closed into her brothers kiss, before she felt herself moving in closer and hugging him "Well..I'm sorry for making it awkward. It's just, I love Cas. And I would do anything to make him happy" 

"We know Bunny. Me and Dean just need to learn the fact that you and Cas are an item. We still can't get over the fact that our little sister has a boyfriend" Sam said with a soft smirk. Kayla playfully punched his chest and said "I'm only 6 minutes younger than you" 

"Still younger" He smirked causing Kayla to chuckle before going over to hug him. Sam casually enveloped his twin into his embrace and smiled into her head before giving it a quick peck of a kiss while rubbing her back. 

"Hey! We found a case for us!" Dean said with a smirk at his sister. 

"Finally!! We haven't had one in a long time" Kayla said in excitement. 

"It's one across the state of Arizona. Wanna come with?" Dean said 

"Heck yes! I'mma go pack!" She said before going over to her bag and putting some of her utilities in there and going back out again "Ready! Let's get on it!" Kayla said with a wide grin. 

They rode into baby and drove over to Arizona with Pink Floyd sounding from the radio. Kayla's grin was gazing upon the scenery outside the car window as they past by. Sam was sound asleep while Dean was tapping his thumb against the wheel for self playing and quietly humming to himself. Kayla looked over at Dean and smiled softly at him. "Dean?" Kayla caught Deans attention by taking him out of his trance. 

"yeah" he simply said looking through the rear view window to see her. 

"If I'm opening an old wound, just tell me and I won't ask this again" Kayla said carefully.

"Sure, what's up?" Dean asked in concern. Kayla inhaled a deep breath and bit her lip before asking... "what was mum like?" Deans face darkened at that question before he inaudibly sighed and looked afar from he road gulping before he tried to open up but..he felt like he couldn't..he tried to though. 

"Well..she was...she was incredibly great. She would've loved you" Dean said only realising what he said as his eyes widened "Kitty, I'm so sorry" he whispered 

"no no no. it's ok. I guess...I can...I can just try and imagine her. Don't worry puppy. I'm fine." Kayla said giving him one of her made up grins which he never fell for. He felt bad for his sister, He softly sighed and softly told her. "Hey. Kitty." Kayla nodded at him "When time comes...I'll tell you everything you need to know about mum and dad. ok?" he added. A smile conjured her her lips and nodded "can't wait" she muttered. Dean softly smiled and kept on facing the road. 

The second they arrived at the house of the victim. The three of them went in and looked around when all of a sudden, an 8 year old girl tapped Kayla's bottom part of her back making her jump "OH! Jesus!!" Kayla said putting a hand on her chest calming down her heart beat.

"Sorry miss." The little girl said with a cute scared face from Kayla's scream. 

"It's ok honey" Kayla said her mother instincts kicking in. "is your mummy or daddy here?" 

"no. My mummy and daddy are dead. I live with my granny" The kid said in a sweet voice.

"Aaaw. Well, why don't you go to her, hon?" Kayla softly kneeling down to face her. The girl shook her head in a scared way. Kayla's eyes etched with worry.  "What's wrong sweetie?" 

"It's...It's my granny...She...She's acting weird." 

"Like what honey?"

"She..." 

"KITTY!!  YOU ALRIGHT?!" Deans voice was painted with worry as he and Sam ran into the room. 

"Puppy! Yeah, Yeah. I'm ok. This little girl just was silent before entering. I'm ok" 

"Alright." Dean said before sighing and walking next to her. 

"Found anything?" Sam asked 

"Uuh. This Little girl said that her grandmother is acting weird. Care to take us to her, sweetie?" Kayla asked as a mother could. The little girl nodded and took Kayla's hand to lead them to her grandmothers room. But what Kayla didn't know is that she's going to be petrified in a few seconds. 

"This is my granny's room." The girl said opening up the door. And revealing something that left Kayla unmoved and frozen before turning white as a sheet as colour drained her whole face and body feeling no air hit her and just staring wide eyed into the room.
