"Slow down, you move too fast," Light spoke, trying to keep up with Shadow without tripping over her feet. He had her wrist trapped in his grip, pulling her after him.

"You move too slow."

Light had no idea where they were going, but Shadow insisted he take her to wherever it was. It was important— at least, that was what he'd said. If it was important to him, then that had to mean something.

"Shadow, please. Tell me where we're going," the female pleaded, having grown tired of trying to hard to keep herself on her feet. He usually moved slow, calm, but whatever this was had him dragging her along at a faster pace than usual.

"Must you be so impatient?" Shadow asked, finally slowing down once he'd found what he was looking for. "I found this a few weeks ago," he spoke, guiding Light over a few rocks in the way. He'd led her out into the forest and Light originally believed he was taking her back to the cave they started out at. However, nothing along the way looked familiar.

When Light looked up again, there was a field full of flowers before her of all different kinds.

"I know how much you love flowers. I thought of you when I found this," the male explained as he released her from his grip and walked out into the field, unable to help the fact he was walking all over the flowers.

He moved to where the sun was the brightest, where the the trees didn't filter it out, and deemed that spot worthy enough to lay in, arms folding behind his head.

"It was important you knew about this, because it is not often I think of someone.. and yet this had me think of you."

The purple hedgehog found herself smiling as she approached Shadow who chuckled to himself when he saw that she'd taken off her shoes and took delicate steps, all so she didn't trample the flowers.

"Light, you really must learn that it is alright to stand on them," Shadow spoke, extending his hand towards her to bring her to him.

"But they're so pretty, I don't wanna ruin them. Besides, you told me not to stand on them when you showed me that other place, didn't you?" She asked, taking Shadow's hand now that it was within reach, then sitting beside him.

"You have far better things to worry about," he replied after a pause, eyes closing as he folded his arm back under his head and enjoyed the sun over him. "For example.. the things I managed to find out about you this past month."

"About me?" Light asked, looking down at Shadow in confusion. He couldn't see her face, but he could clearly picture what it looked like and that alone made him grin. "Don't sound so surprised," he answered. "The things you told me about yourself when we met. How you had no immortality, no power, all these flaws.. they were false and I think you need to know that."

"What do you mean? The professor said—"

"That's what he told you. But I travelled back to the ARK after leaving that night to do some research.. I was originally looking to dig up anything more about me, but I found files about you instead," the male spoke as he sat up, a hand moving to rest upon Light's cheek. "You aren't all flaws after all."

"I—.." Light found it difficult to understand. The professor had clearly said she wasn't a successful product by any means.. or perhaps she simply wasn't successful for what he needed. The cure. She didn't have that.
