Staring out the window, Light could only wonder what was going on within the walls of Sonic and Amy's home. Just like Light's, the house managed to survive, though barely; for Light, her front wall had a large hole and the ceiling above it seemed as though it were ready to collase.  Sonic and Amy's house,  however, was missing a large section of their roof.

Though its been a few days..
neither Sonic nor Shadow had woken since they'd lost consciousness..

Light could only wonder how Amy must be feeling;  she was pregnant to the man she loved, but he was hurt and showing no signs of waking just yet and that alone must be highly stressful for her. Light was in and out of their home to be there for Amy and to make sure Sonic truly was healed, but always left eventually. She wanted to stay, but she needed to give them space. She was still in tears over the whole event, so she imagined Amy wasn't holding up any better. Besides, she had to stay home..

The silence of Light's home was broken and her ears twitched at the sound of mumbling; it sounded panicked, afraid.. and it was coming from her bedroom. Shadow was in there.. Knuckles had helped her move him, considering he would be too weak to walk and he wasn't awake.

Frowning, Light followed the sound of his voice, worry rising within her as she approached the room. She could hear his panicked breaths, even through the closed door, and when she entered, her heart stopped in fear when Shadow poised to attack.

"No, please! It's only me!" The purple one almost retreated back out of the door, hands shielding her face. When Shadow processed that it was only Light, he quickly stopped himself and let out a heavy sigh, pinching the bridge of his nose. He hadn't meant to.

"I'm sorry, Light.. I wasn't thinking straight," he spoke, his voice hoarse as he tried to shake it all off. Meanwhile, Light had hesitantly walked over to him, her brows furrowed. He was layered in sweat, his breaths uneven and with the way he reacted to her simply opening the door, she could only assume..

"Did you have a bad dream?"

Despite his reluctance, the dark one nodded his head. Light had never seen him this way before, with glassy eyes, shaky breaths.. whatever it was, it really got to him.

"I apologize for my actions still, I didn't mean to scare you.. please sit with me, I have things I must say," he spoke, though his words were not entirely true. He needed her close, to remind himself she was still here, unlike in his dream. He lost her and it was his fault. He snapped, attacked her.. he lost her, just like he lost Maria.

As Shadow made room for her beside him, Light seated herself close to him, leaning into him for warmth as he brought a hand to her head and stroked her quills.

"Thank you for healing my wounds.. I apologize for being unable to come back for you as I promised.."

"I was waiting for you.. and I thought I heard you, but it was Tails and when he told me, I was so scared.."

Tears began to form in her eyes again, her nose buried into the bloodied fur on his chest as it usually did, whether she was upset or not. It seemed automatic, whenever she was close her head seemed to drop on its own to rest against his chest and Shadow couldn't complain. It was nice in a way to have someone so harmless, so innocent, someone he trusted so close..

"There is no need to cry, i'm here now.. i'm no longer hurt because you healed me. You managed to help both me and Sonic, even if you were afraid.. you did very well and i'm proud."
