"Who's this?!" I heard someone yell mid nap forcing me to wake up
"Mom?! Your here" I yelled
"Who is this guy?"
"This is my boyfriend Ivan who has been taking care of me since I got hurt. He hasn't left my side"
"I thought I told you no boyfriend"
"You did but I'm an adult, I can choose if I want a boyfriend or not."
"You have a point. I'm not gonna say that I'm not mad but right now I'm just gonna focus on your health"
"I can deal with that"
"Now, how's your back?"
"It's good"
"It's good when your not being stubborn" Ivan budded in
"What does he mean by that?" My mom asked pointing at Ivan
"She was being stubborn this afternoon and her back gave out"
"What was she being stubborn about?"
"She wanted to go talk to Jake but I told her she should go lay down for a bit first but she insisted on going to talk to Jake"
"Now why didn't you listen to him"
"Because I'm stubborn!" I said,"Now, if you don't mind I have to go to the bathroom"
"Let me help you" My mom offered
"I don't need help" I said as I started to get up
"Your not going alone after earlier" Ivan said,"I'll help you"
"The bathroom is five feet away!" I argued
"Remember where being stubborn got you last time?" Ivan said
"Fine, you can help me Ivan" I gave in. It was better to have him help me than my mom, he was more gentle than anyone else I know
*The next evening*
*Out at dinner*
Your pov
"I'm leaving in the morning, I just came out to see how you are, from the looks of it you are doing good. I don't seem to have a reason to worry" mom said
"Thanks mom, I won't give you anything to worry about while your gone" I said giving her a side hug. We finished dinner and said goodbye because she was leaving super early and is staying at a hotel. She was a lot less mad about Ivan then I thought she'd be, which is a good thing. I have to call her on Thursday after my doctors appointment for my back, she wants to know what they say. Of course Ivan isn't letting me go alone. He's sweet...
