jisoo busied herself with yoongi's makeup. he enjoyed the feeling of the cool creams and fluffy brushes against his skin, it was calming. yoongi started drifting off to sleep when jisoo sprayed something on yoongi's face, he jumped a little.
"what the hell was that?" yoongi grumbled going to rub his eyes before remembering his makeup.
"it was setting spray," jisoo said packing up her supplies. "it's so make sure all your makeup stays on your face and lasts longer."
"the more you know," jungkook emerged from behind his closet door. yoongi bit his lip and couldn't help but check him out. jungkook had changed into a button up, white shirt and black skinny jeans. the outfit wasn't anything jaw dropping, but how jungkook looked in it was. he rolled up the sleeves so they reached just below his elbows, showing off his toned forearms. the jeans clung to him in all the right places, outlining his firm thighs.
jisoo caught yoongi and nudged his shoulder. he looked and jisoo then rolled his eyes. she just laughed. no matter how much yoongi tried to ignore the fact jisoo saw him checking jungkook out, the rosiness of his cheeks and glint in his eyes said otherwise.
"is there a mirror anywhere?" yoongi asked jisoo. she nodded and handed him a small mirror with some dainty embellishments. yoongi admired himself is the mirror. his cheekbones and the tip of his nose glowed when the light hit them. yoongi gasped quietly when he saw the glitter on his eyelids.
"i did a smokey eye," jisoo admired. "of course i didn't do anything too extravagant."
yoongi closed one eye, glitter trailed along his top lash line to the outer corner of his eye. the silver sparkled when yoongi moved his head, it was utterly amusing to yoongi. he was breaking boundaries tonight; first a new outfit and now make up. he hoped that hoseok would notice him, it was silly but the jealousy was slowly eating him up. the thought of jimin and hoseok being together lurked in yoongi's mind making him shudder.
"yoongi hyung, quickly change then we'll head off. if you change behind the closet door we won't be able to see you," jungkook said.
yoongi got up and grabbed the bag which held his new clothes. he slid behind the door and took off his clothes. he carefully put on is new outfit, trying not to smudge his makeup even though jisoo used setting spray. after he had finished changing, yoongi savoured the moment. he looked at himself in the long mirror which hung on the inside of the door. yoongi thought he looked like a girl, but a very pretty girl. they're just clothes, what does it matter if girls usually wear them? yoongi decided he wasn't going to let gender rolls determine how he looked tonight. girly clothes and make up or not, yoongi knew he looked smokin'.
"okay, jungkookie, i'm ready," yoongi stepped out from behind the door and jungkook's eyes scanned yoongi's body.
"you look great," a smirk played across his lips.
"thanks, you don't look too shabby yourself."
jungkook winked at yoongi and waved at jisoo, "you going to join us?"
"later, some friends are taking me there."
jungkook nodded wrapping his arm around yoongi's shoulders and leading him out of the door. they walked down the empty corridor. it was friday, everyone was either out partying or studying until their eyes bled. yoongi hugged himself as they walked, it was cold and the jacket wasn't helping much, but yoongi felt warmer with jungkook holding him.
"how are we getting there?" yoongi shivered.
"it's around the block, we can walk if that's okay with you."
"yeah it's fine. who's hosting?"
"some guy called jin, i believe he's graduating this year and wants to go out with a bang."
that name sounded strangely familiar to yoongi. he swear he's met someone called jin, or maybe he was a character from yoongi's plethora of stories. jungkook and yoongi walked in silence the rest of the way. jungkook still hadn't taken his arm way from yoongi's shoulders. jungkook was a curious case. on the outside jungkook looks buff and macho, like the type to be the cocky quarterback that gets the girl in any american chick flick. on the inside jungkook was just a kid. he's gentle and kind, he'd put your needs before his. jungkook's selfless and compassionate. yoongi was glad that he let jungkook stick around, he would feel a lot less cared for if jungkook wasn't there, he's the solid foundation in yoongi's dream house.
as they approached the white panelled house booming with music that's too loud. yoongi could already smell the sweat and feel the body heat. the front lawn was still clean, yoongi knew that it'd soon be littered with plastic cups, silly string and maybe even the odd passed out, drunk person. a group of people sat huddled together on the front porch chatting and occasionally sipping from their cheap, plastic cups. jungkook pushed the front door open, yoongi could see some couples had already started exchanging saliva in the living room and the strangers who were near the stereo were slowly moving closer together, by the end of the night they'd be like sardines and grinding against each other to whatever music was playing. yoongi lead jungkook to the kitchen to try and get some fresh air. instead of being the chill place where the host tops up the chip bowls, there are a bunch of people playing drinking games. jungkook pulled yoongi towards the living room side opposite to the stereo blasting popular songs. some quieter people sat on the couch discussing something. jungkook recognised some of them and took yoongi to join them.
yoongi finally thought he could start to unwind, meet some new people and try to have some fun. that was going to plan until he looked up to see hoseok. he looks as bright and beautiful as ever. yoongi's heart skipped a beat when hoseok laughed and someone's joke. yoongi couldn't really see what he was wearing as it was covered by someone. yoongi knelt up to try discretely get a look at who was all over hoseok.
and on hoseok's lap there sat a tipsy and flirtatious jimin.
