TRIGGER WARNING

There will be self harm and mild abuse in this chapter if you find this to be a trigger of any sort please feel free to skip ahead. In the next chapter I will gloss over it for a recap so no one misses anything.

I will put a warning when they begin speaking about the abuse/self harm. I keep it rather tame for obvious reasons, but some people could be sensitive, so please skip ahead if you want.

Thank You.

VICTOR

Never in a million years did I think I would see this woman. I never thought she'd find us here.

If she thinks she's going to come here and tear apart my family-

"What are you doing here?" I bit back the growl that threatened to escape as I placed a protective hand on Yurio and Yuri's shoulders.

Makachin whined at Yuri's feet. Standing between him and my mother.

"Aren't you going to invite us in? It's cold." My mother spoke tartly crossing her arms over her chest. Mila stood beside her silent as ever.

"You're Russian. You like the cold." Yurio snapped picking up on my mood.

"Yurio, could you take Mila upstairs? Otabek and Yuri too." I felt a tick begin in my jaw.

Yurio shot me an irritated look ready to argue, but one look from me and he sighed heavily and grabbed Mila's wrist and all but dragged her in the house. Yuri squeezed my hand before reluctantly following him.

I waited a few moments before I allowed my mother to step into the doorway.

"Now what are you doing here?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest standing in her way of the stairs. Her sharp green eyes studied the house around her before they rest on me.

"I saw you on the television. Some scandal again about you and some stripper? Really Victor do you hate your name that much?" She rolled her eyes.

I sighed heavily prepping for the headache to come. My fingers pinched the bridge of my nose.

"What do you think your actions will do to Yurio's career?" She asked. That sparked a fire under my ass.

"Keep away from Yurio. It's bad enough you corrupted that poor girl. You leave him be. You did enough." I spoke gravely.

"You waste his talent!" She shouted.

"You nearly killed him!" I shouted back losing my temper.

She breathed deeply through her nose ready to fight. I released the breath I was holding in and spoke more calm.

"What are you doing here really?" I asked.

"I had heard that you got married." She spoke with a strange foreign look in her eye.

"Yes. HIS name is Yuri. That is all you need to know." I grit my teeth. She was treading dangerous water now.

"Ah. I see." She perked a brow and glanced away.

"If that is all you wanted you can take your leave." I pointed to the door.

"No, I'm here for Yurio. You clearly have no idea what you are doing. You will destroy his career. He's been seen riding on the back of motorcycles. Going in and out of clubs. How often has he practiced? How is his diet? He's eighteen years old. He needs structure.
He had a career and a life waiting for him back home. This little adventure of yours has gone far enough. You are not his father.
You can barely take care of yourself. You will never be a good father." She jabbed a finger toward me. I stood toe to toe with her trying my damndest to reign in the explosion about to happen when a small voice spoke.
