YURI
The performance was magnificent. Yurio blew away the crowd and had a standing ovation.
I wiped tears from my eyes at his beautiful display. It was incredible. I glanced down at my phone to see Victor still had yet to call me back.He must really be swamped, but he promised to be here. Maybe I should try calling him again?
"Hey Yuri, I'm sorry your date didn't show." Minami frowned fidgeting.
"It's alright. I know he's stuck at work." I frowned.
"Do you maybe need a ride? I can take you to see him." Minami offered rubbing the back of his neck bashfully.
I felt heat creep into my cheeks.
Pichit does need his car back.
I suppose I could surprise him.
"Sure, that would be great. Thank you." I smiled as Minami helped me into my coat and led the way toward his car. Weaving through the crowd I thought I had spotted Victor, but shook my head.
No, he would have found me if it was him.
Minami smiled as he opened the door for me. We talked some more about the college and what we had wanted to do as we drove toward the center of town where Victor's office was.
VICTOR
The show was absolutely amazing. It was Yurio's best performance yet. From where I was sitting I could just see the entrance to stage right where I made eye contact with him.
His face lit up as I waved.
I'm so glad I didn't miss this.
I bit my lip as I thought about Yuri.
I will find him after the show and apologize for being late and not being able to sit with him. Also for ignoring his texts and calls.
I owed him big.
I pinched the bridge of my nose. I still had to go back to that damn party. I really didn't want to. I just wanted to go home to see my family.
Why does JJ want me at a stupid company party anyway? I thought annoyed. I knew it was to better the campaign, even though him and Leo were still touring.
"He has improved tremendously." My mother praised Yurio's performance.
"Yes he has." I nodded. Rising to take my leave.
"Imagine what I could do with him." She called causing me to pause.
"Imagine what he could accomplish without you." I retorted over my shoulder before taking my leave. I weaved through the crowd ignoring the consistent vibration from my cell phone in my pocket.
Finally annoyed I answered.
"Yes Anya?" I answered a little too harsh.
"Mr.Nikiforov, I've made a terrible mistake! I mixed up several of our supporters files, and can't figure out which ones go where. Please hurry back soon." Anya cried melodramaticaly.
I sighed heavily into the reciever.
Yuri, I am so sorry, don't hate me.
"I will be right there." I muttered irritated before I hung up.
I weaved through the crowd hoping to catch a glimpse of Yuri and maybe get to apologize in person. I didn't spot him anywhere.
Disappointed I headed back to the office.
