By some miracle, I stopped crying. I sat on a couch in an empty room. I looked out the window into the daylight, twirling the necklace charm between my fingers. The same fingers that would fit in with Loki's so easily. My dad walked in the room and stood next to me. "You wanna tell me what happened these past few years?" He asked with a light smile.
"In regards to what?" I asked back.
"You disappeared on me, kiddo. We really missed you here." I didn't dare look into his eyes. Seeing such a thing will only hurt me even more.
"It's too long of a story," I said.
"We've got time," he said as he flashed me a sad smile. I explained the whole story to him and I don't think my father has ever been so supportive. He really listened to me and I think he understands that Loki is definitely a good guy. After hearing about what he did for Thor, everyone should know how much of a good guy Loki is— or, was. We finished talking and made our way to Wakanda. I finally get to meet the man my father talks so highly of, Bucky. As we arrived, I walked closely behind my father as he hugged the man.
"Hey, Buck," he said, "how ya been?" Bucky smiled.
"Not bad for the end of the world," he replied. "And who might this pretty young lady be?"
"This is my daughter, (y/n)." Steve said as he placed a hand on my shoulder.
"Wait—. I thought your—. Isn't she—. Never mind, it's great to meet you," we exchanged smiles.
"Yeah, I faked my death... sorry..." I said. Everyone giggled uncomfortably. I followed everyone into the kingdom. Shuri and Bruce have decided to remove the mind-stone from Vision's head. While they began that, I stood next to Natasha and we caught up a little bit. I've always loved Natasha, she's like the mother I never had.
"So, maybe after this, we can get a coffee and go shopping or something," she suggested.
"Yeah," I replied with a half smile. "I'd really like that, Nat." She pulled me in for a hug.
"It gets easier, I promise," she whispered. I let a few tears slip from my eyes. My breath was shaky as she let go of me.
"You know you'd be a really great stepmom," Nat scoffed.
"Nah, I don't think your dad would feel too happy about that," she's hiding something. I can tell, before everything happened with Loki, he taught me a few basic spells and illusions. Now, I can sort of read people's minds.
                              "Who's the guy?" I asked.
"There isn't a guy," she lied through her teeth.
"Is it Clint?" She scoffed again. "Is that what happened in Budapest?" She laughed out loud.
"You're something else, kid." We giggled for a few moments before something started to happen. "Let's move," she said as we travelled outside. It looks like those bitches from space are back. If they think I'm going to let them live, they've got another thing coming to them. T'Challa arranged all of his troops around the perimeter and we got ready to fight. Steve, T'Challa, and Nat went to talk to the fuckers. We all watched in horror as the aliens died trying to break their way through the forcefield. T'Challa opened the forcefield and they cam flooding in.
"I think you should go inside," Steve said, I grimaced at him.
"You haven't seen me in quite a few years, I can do more than you think." I rolled my eyes as I duplicated myself and stabbed one of the aliens in the back with my clone. Bruce went running forward in one of Tony's big suits and he tripped and fell, what a nerd. I lifted three of the aliens up with my mind and threw them across the planet. Thunder and lightning took over the sky for a bit. Here comes Thor... Thor and a tree lookin-kid and a raccoon with clothes on came from the sky.
"You guys are so screwed now!" Bruce yelled causing me to chuckle.
"Bring me Thanos!" Thor yelled with his eyes bright blue.
After a while of fighting, news that Vision was on the field. A girl about my age killed multiple aliens at the same time with her powers. "Woah," I said to her.
                              "Who are you?" She asked.
"I'm Steve's daughter and Loki's widow," her eyes went wide.
                              "I thought she—."
"Yeah, I'm not dead, chill out."
"Well, it's nice to meet you," she replied.
                              "You too, I'm (y/n)."
"I'm Wanda," she smiled. We ran to the woods with hopes of finding my father and Vision. There they were, both alive, thank God. Wakanda went eerily quiet.
"Something's happening..." Nat said. Wind blew through the leaves.
"He's here," I said, my voice cracking. Sure enough, I was right. Everyone tried to fight off Thanos as he made his way towards the stone. All Thanos had to do was wave his hand and Nat was in a pile of wood, Bruce in a rock formation, and my father was punched straight in the face. I walked right up to Thanos and stood before him, glaring up into his cold, dead eyes.
"You must be (y/n)," he said. My breath was shaky and I guess he could see the feat manifesting inside me. "I'm sorry for your loss, little one."
"And I'm sorry for yours," I said as I stabbed Thanos in the stomach with a knife. He slapped my face and I fell to the ground. Wanda succeeded and destroyed the stone but Thanos reversed time and ripped it out of Vision's head himself. Thor came in and hit him straight in the chest with stormbreaker. Thanos groaned out in pain. Finally, he's dead, we won. This can all be over.
"I told you you would die for that," Thor said as his voice shook with anger.
"You should've gone for the head," Thanos said as he snapped, the gauntlet melted and the last bit of hope inside of me died.
"What did you do?" Thor yelled but Thanos had disappeared.
                              "Dad?" I asked.
                              "Yes?" he replied.
"Just making sure," I slowly stood up and began to walk around. Nat and Bruce stood up and walked with me.
"Steve?" Bucky said before turning to dust. Woah... what happened? Steve went over to feel the dust. Soon everyone was turning to dust.
"Are they dying?" I asked my dad.
"I don't know," he replied. A weird tingling took presence in my legs, then moving up to my arms.
"Hey, something's happening, I feel— I feel— weird. What's going on? Am I dying?" I asked as my hands turned to dust. "Dad, Dad, what's going on? Help me, please." I begged.
"Shh, it's okay, it's okay," he said trying to calm us down.
"No, no, I can't leave, I'll be all alone. Please help me!" I called out in tears.
"Shh, you're going to be okay," the dust moved up my waist and next to my head.
"I love you and I'm sorry."
