SLOW DOWN // Sweetpea

Me and Pea walked together in the rain to school.
Us being us, neither of us brought an umbrella, we both laughed as we walked- more or less speed walked - down the street.

I pulled my jacket up over my head, as did Pea. He did ask if I wanted his jacket to cover my head, but I didn't want my boyfriend getting hypothermia right now.

"Who didn't you bring an umbrella?" Pea asks.

I shrug, "why didn't you?"

"I still can't believe you actually cut a chunk of Penny off." He says, laughing.

"Better believe it sunshine." I reply, he walks ahead of me.

"Wait up! Not all of us have long legs asshole." I say as I basically jog next to him.

He rolls his eyes.
"Get on." He says, as he implies for me to get on his back.

I chuckle as I jump into his back and he playfully groans.

He begins to run down the streets, and I was laughing my ass off, heading towards the school and everyone stares at us.

As we arrive, Pea puts me down and kisses me.

"I better go find the others." I say to him.

He nods, "I need to find Fangs."

"See you later alligator." He says.

"In a while crocodile." I reply as I begin to walk off.

"Veronica, are you trying to manage me?" Jughead says.

"Define manage." V says.

"People are gonna loose their homes." I say to her.

"Why don't you two come with your dad, and sit down with my dad, and hash this out like civilised humans?" She says to us.

I groan.
"Sure. One condition, your dad comes to Sunnyside Trailer Park. I want him to see the people he'll displace." Jug says.

"Fine. And trust me, no one is being displaced." V assures us.

Kevin comes barging in, an excited look on his face. Must mean there's gossip.

"My god. Did you guys hear? My dads scanner's blowing up. The police found another dead body. There's blood everywhere." He exclaims.

"Could the black hood have risen from the grave." I say, sarcastically.

"Did they say whose body?" Archie asks.

"Where'd they find it?" Betty asks, an off look across her face.

Somethings up.

"The investigation's ongoing, but it was a gruesome execution at the motel. Blood, and brains splattered all over the duvet." Kev says.

I laugh at him and pull a face as if to say that's disgusting.

"Okay, Kev, we get it." Archie says.

"I gotta go." Betty says.

She rushes out of the room, and I quickly follow her to the bathrooms.

"Betty, you okay hun?" I say, as I hear her puking into the toilet.

I squat down next to her as she flops to the floor.

"What's going on?" I ask.

She shakes her head as her head falls against the toilet stalls.

Cheryl then comes from around the corner, and concerned look in her face.

"Betty are you okay? Let me get you some towels" she says.
