My heart’s increasing in speed every second I sit here. Right now I’m sitting in a back of  a cab as I’m being driven to the Radcliff house. I take a few deep breathes and lean against the window and I feel my head against the cold glass.

My mother wants me to make it up to Xander. Over the last two days she told me every detail of her and Justin’s relationship. I’ve never realized how messed up my family is. My mother even said that she won’t ever stop loving him because he was her first everything. They were just too young and they went too fast. They have more of a brother/sister relationship now. I don’t understand how they are able to have normal conversations. I could barely look at Xander when he broke my heart last year. She’s seems to be fine. I guess that’s why my parents manage to fall in love. They both lost someone they love.

The car comes to a slow stop and I get out. I hand the man a few bills and get my bag from the back of the car. It drops on the ground and I shut the door. I walk up the path and take a deep breath before opening the door. I turn to shut the door letting go of the handle on my suitcase.

‘Dy.’ The corner of my mouth turns up and I see Xander. Without even thinking I run over to him and wrap my arms around him. There’s a slight pause before he pulls me close to his body. He whispers. ‘So, is this a way of telling me you missed me.’ I jump up and wrap my legs around his middle and he holds me against his body. ‘You know I broke up with you.’

‘Yes I do, but my mother doesn’t mind anymore and she told me to go home and tell you that I want to be your girlfriend.’ He smiles and presses his lips to mine. I kiss him back and he slowly moves back to place his back against the wall. ‘I really miss you.’

‘It’s only been two days.’ He responds between kisses.

‘So, I’ve missed you like crazy. I think you’re a drug.’ He lets out a small laugh and his hands go down my body where he rests them on my butt. He pulls me closer and kisses me up the jaw line.  I let out  a moan. ‘Xander, you really think we should be doing this here. What happens if Selena walks in.’

‘She would kill me.’

‘Yes and I would be heartbroken.’ His hand moves my legs and I drop down in front of me. He presses his lips to mine.

‘Get a room.’ I turn around and see Selena glaring at us. I smile and she grabs my hand and pulls me into the kitchen.

‘Last thing I heard was you were broke up. Yet you look like you would have ripped his clothes off right there.’

‘So, we made up. She rolls her eyes.’ Thank you so much for pulling me away from your brother.’ I say sarcastically.

‘Sorry, just not in front of me.’

‘We were in the hall and you walked in.’

‘Then keep it away from me and no sex.’ I roll my eyes and then burst out laughing. She smiles and pulls me into a hug. ‘You’re like my sister and if you are going on with this relationship with Alex, then maybe you will be my sister for real.’
