Thursday and Friday both pass without too much effort. I didn’t go to school, but on Thursday Selena brought home the work I’d missed and I spent Friday catching up with all that I had missed. Friday night came like a blink of an eye and now. I'm now getting ready for my date with Jesse. I pull on a pair of leggings, and then sliding over a skirt before pulling on a tank top and a light jumper. My fingers thread through my hair, pulling it into a pony tail. My hat's lying on the bed and I put it on, followed by gloves. I slide on a pair of boots and there’s a knock on the door. I open it to find Jesse standing there. He pulls me close to his body and presses his lips to mine. His eyes flicker over me and I couldn’t help but let my face go into a huge smile. As I look at Jesse he gives me a smile before saying against my lips. 

‘Why do I have such a beautiful girlfriend?’ I smile and his hand wrap around my waist. ‘I don’t think you need all this stuff yet we are not there yet.’ I took the hat off and heat travels to my cheeks. Jesse lets out a small chuckle and pulls me closer to him. the heat reaching my cheeks still and I know they must be a burning red colour by now. We walk down the stairs and he pulls me out the house to his car. He opens the door for me and I smile up at him. ‘Delilah.’

 ‘Yeah.’ I say with a smile upon my face. He bends down and kisses me once more. Our date hasn’t even started and he had already kissed me like four times. I kiss him back and his lips respond hungrily on mine. 

‘I love you.’ These words leave me rather flustered and I look down in embarrassment at them, knowing my cheeks only get redder as I stand here. my eyes flicker back up and look at Jesse and say. 

‘I love you too.’ His lips brush over mine again as he opens the door for me. I slide into it and hear it shut behind me. Jesse walks around the other side and I hear the engine come to life as he starts to drive. He pulls in front of the ice rink and cuts the engine. He got out the car and walk around opening the door and pulling me close to his body. My cheeks flush with color as his lips crash to mine and I feel a faint spark; something that’s been missing for the past few weeks; filling me up inside and making a smile appear from ear to ear. I smile back and he wraps his arm around me.

 We walk in and Jesse went to go and get some skates. I lean against the barrier. It was empty like we knew it would be. Jesse came back a few minutes later and gave me the skates; sliding them on and, then standing up to face Jesse. Jesse took my hand and we walk to the edge of the ice. Jesse went on and flashing me a smile before pulling me onto the ice.

 ‘Delilah I would listen to the song if I was you.’ I look at him and paid attention to the song and smile once I recognize it. The song was ‘I Don't Want This Night To End’ by Luke Bryan. The song was mine and Jesse’s song and had been since our first kiss which when we took it. Although it refers to our first date.

 Jesse took me out of town to watch a concert and we stopped on the way back to eat. This must have been at about one am and so we were done by two. It was still an hour drive before we got home and his car broke down and we were twenty minutes away from town and well no signal how typical was that. We spent the next hour talking and we walked down the road. Jesse kept saying that it was such a bad date and said sorry, but I said I don’t want the night to end. That’s when we got through to the garaged and we were picked up in ten and home in twenty. He kissed me on the cheek goodnight and wondered if he gets another chance. I said he got nothing to prove and I would love to go on another date.
