Eight: The Night of Worries

After visiting Sohyun and Nick in the hospital, Nina, Jun and the others went back home while Nick stayed back with his wife for a few more hours before heading back to his apartment nearby the hospital.

Nina had just gotten out from the bathroom after they had gotten back home, when she saw her husband reading his favourite book while lying on her bed. she then makes her way towards him and ask for his help in drying her hair as she enjoys it.

"So, what did Doc Lola said last week, about your condition?" Jun asked while drying Nina's hair.

"Hmm...erm...she said that I should take care of myself even more and ensure that I have a balance diet as well as not to be too stress up with work...or else I might have a hard time along the way." answered Nina.

Jun nods his head and told her to remember what the doctor told her. Nina knew how protective and worried Jun and her family are, but she really wants to show them that she can do it despite the incident that happen a few years back.

"Nina, I know that this may sound weird or random, but if you ever need someone to talk to, just know that I am here. just take your time and whenever you are ready, I will be there with you till the end, but for now, let me hear what our little angel is doing." said Jun as he places his ear close to Nina's tummy.

Jun tries to listen to their baby's heartbeat, which made Nina giggle at his actions and push him away hard.

"Our angel is still small and besides I am still in my early stage of pregnancy." Replies Nina as she shook her head.

"I know, but still, hearing our angel's heartbeat makes me feel..."

Jun eyes soon turn red and he slowly approaches Nina while his aura was indicating that he was feeling like a predator ready to attack his prey.

"Makes you feel what, Jun?" asked Nina softly.

"Proud that I made you mine and that you were willing to bear my child. so' it's kind of makes me feel like an alpha." Answer Jun as he crawls towards her.

Nina giggles at her husband's comment before finding herself trapped between the bed and Jun. soon she lies down on the bed while Jun hovers over her and looking at her from top to bottom and top back.

He then brought his face closer to her ear and whispers to her that he doesn't seems to be able to hold back.

"Go ahead, My King." Whispers Nina.

Hearing those word came out of her mouth, Jun soon attack her mouth while bring his right hand to her waist and his left hand to her cheek, ensuring that their lips stays intact. They soon pulled away for a breather before Jun began to kiss Nina's neck then her collarbone and then kiss her tummy.

"Nina...may i..."

Before he could even ask, they heard a knock at the door and hear Madam Luna's voice, asking if they were asleep. Jun felt pissed and wanted to shout at her but only to find himself being stop by Nina.

Nina shook her head, indicating to Jun not to get mad at her as she didn't know, so Jun got off Nina and made his way to the balcony, while Nina walks up to the door.

"Oh, Nina. Sorry for disturbing you but Duchess Penelope wishes to inform you that we will be visiting the Royal Family house tomorrow as to discuss on...Lily and Eric." Madam Luna looks around to ensures that no one was close by.

"Oh...right. I will inform Jun about it and remind him to wake up early tomorrow." Said Nina.

"Good, but where is Jun? and did I disturb something?" asked Madam Luna.

"He is at the balcony, and you kind of did..." replies Nina with a small smile.

Seeing the signs given by Nina, Madam Luna soon realized her mistake and apologies to Nina quickly.

"I must be too old to realize that, I am so sorry. But just a reminder, please tell him to be gentle as you are carrying his child in your womb and I just don't want to the same thing to happen to you again, like the last." Remind Madam Luna.

"I know, I will remind him. Besides, I think he knows it himself and he is nothing like...him..." said Nina as she recalls a distance memory.

"I know, and I also know that you two will be a wonderful parent as well as great rulers in the future. Well then, I better make my move, I think I have overstayed my stay long enough. Tell Jun I said sorry and have a pleasing night. Good night dear.@ said Madam Luna.

"We will, you too and good night." Replied Nina.

Madam Luna then made her way back to her room, while Nina closed the door and locking it before heading to where Jun is. She slowly walks towards him as wanting to admire his broad back and tine body.

As soon as she came close to him, she gave him a back hug and place her face on his back.

"Are you mad at Madam Luna?" ask Nina softly.

Jun shook his head and kept his eyes on the night sky.

"Are you mad at me?" Nina asked again, this time softer.

Jun shook his head again, still not looking at her and that made Nina worried.

"Do you hate me? For stopping you from doing..."

Upon hearing that, Jun turns around and look at Nina with his eyes still red before pulling her close to his body and sighing away his anger.

"I am not mad at you or Madam Luna and how could I ever hate you, Nina. You are the love of my life, my wife, the mother of my future children and the future Queen of our nation. What could you ever do to make me mad at you?" said Jun.

"Well, I thought that you are being silent means that you were mad at us or even hated me for stopping you." replied Nina.

"Never Nina, I could never hate you. After all the thing I must do and the battles I had to fight just to get you, you mean everything to me. it is just that...I nearly lost control of myself. I kept telling myself to have self-control but seeing you lying beneath me with those eyes, make me..."

Jun pulls away and walk towards the end of the balcony, away from Nina. hearing that her husband nearly lost control of his sanity, Nina could not help but smile a bit. She makes her way towards Jun and stood by his sides, admiring the night scenery with him.

"At least, you knew that you have to control yourself, which makes me happy because you knew what will happen to me if you did, that doesn't make you a monster like..." Nina pause for a moment to recall back something.

Curious as to what made Nina stops halfway, Jun place his hands onto Nina and asked her to continue with what she was about to say. Knowing that it was hard for her, he just wants to know her to know that he will always be there for her till the end.

"Jun...I..."

"Please Nina, tell me what happen that night, so at least I know what I must do and not to do to make you feel pain. Furthermore, I swore under our family names that I will always protect you from harm. So please, let me and share with me." begs Jun.

Hearing his plead, Nina knew that she must tell him what exactly happen that night someday but for now, she just doesn't think it is the right time.

"Maybe some other time, Jun. When the time comes, you will be the first to know. For now, let's go inside, I am feeling a bit cold and sleepy." Said Nina.

Not wanting to force her further, Jun carried Nina in a bridal way and makes their way inside before closing the balcony door and lie down on the bed together.

"Promise me, Nina. No more secrets after this." Said Jun, reminding her.

"I promise..." answered Nina.

Soon the moonlight shines brightly on them and they were soon fast asleep.
