Another day has begun and things in school are running smoothly as usual. Students are slowly entering the gate, gathering together with their friends and chatting away among each other.
"LILY!!!" called out Rayna while running after her friends whom are gathered just outside the gate.
"Oh my gosh...when will this girl ever learn not to shout out loud early in the morning?" said Luna in annoyance.
"I doubt she will, besides this is Rayna we are talking about." Replied Faith while shaking her head.
Soon Rayna arrive at where they are, and she tries to catch her breath before telling them some news that she heard from someone.
"Did...you girls know about the latest news that just accord?" asked Rayna breathless.
As they made their way through the gate, they look at Rayna wondering what she meant before looking at each other and shook their head in saying no. Could handle the waiting, Rayna quickly told them about the latest news.
"Eric is getting engage in 4 months' time and to one of the students in our school"" exclaim Rayna as she informs the girls about it, that the other students were able to hear it as well.
"ARE YOU SERIOUS!? To who? when did he...how?" asked Faith and Luna in shocked to hear it.
Miko too was shock and she turn to Lily, wanting to see how she react but only to see her calm and unbothered. It was as if she knew about the engagement but didn't said anything till now. Noticing that Miko was looking at her. Lily could not help but smile awkwardly then walks away from them and pretending like nothing had happen.
Heading towards the class, Miko follow her from behind then the others soon followed a suit, walking past through the lockers and into the classroom. They gathered around Lily's table, still discussing on what Rayna had heard and Miko wonder why Lily acting weird.
"Okay, first who told you about this?" asked Luna.
"This Joey guy, I met him working at the café that we usual go to and so, he somehow knew that I am Lily's friend...he was the one who told me about Eric's surprise engagement." Answered Rayna.
"He knows Lily. Lily, do you know this Joey guy?" asked Luna, surprised to hear that this guy knew her friend.
"Yes...sort of. He is a distant cousin of mine. I knew about Eric's engagement and him getting married. Also, I happen to know to whom he is about to wed to." Replied Lily, being careful not to spill too much information to her friends.
Shocked to hear her reply, they asked her who is she and how did she know about it, also why didn't she inform them about it in the first place.
"Well, it was supposed to be a family secret, but since Joey knew that I and Eric went to the same school and all, so I am guessing that he thought that it is alright for the school o know about it?" added Lily.
"And why is that?" asked Faith.
"Erm...because...well..."
As Lily was find the right words to say, Eric cuts in and asked Lily if they could talk for a moment outside the class. Feeling relieve and thankful to Eric for saving her, Lily answered yes, and they soon made their way out of the class, after Lily had told her friends that she will be right back.
"What is it that you wish to talk about with me?" asked Lily curiously while trying her best not to blush.
"My mother told me that she wishes to see us after school today and that she wants to show you something along with other stuff." Answered Eric.
