Twenty-one : Worries and Advices

Eric and Lily made their way downstairs when they heard laughter coming from the living room and saw Madam Luna coming out of the room with a smile on her face.

"Oh, Master Eric and Lady Lily, what are you two standing there for? Come on in, everyone is waiting for you both." Said Madam Luna.

Eric and Lily quickly makes their way down the stairs, entering the living rom and sat down besides Nina and Jun. After seeing them settle down, Duchess Penelope and Duchess Sara resume back to what they were discussing about, Eric and Lily wedding.

"As I was saying, Eric and Lily engagement party will be held on the 21st of this month as the moon is at its fullest. Also, it is only normal to held it on that day as Eric and Lily had just went through their first heat together." Said Duchess Sara.

"Where are you planning to hold the party, sister? And are you planning to invite all of our relatives including the ones we are trying to avoid?" asked Duchess Penelope.

"Yes, of course. Since they did invite all of us to their ceremony, it is only fair that we invited them to our ceremony, or else it won't be a good idea if we didn't repay them back." answered Duchess Sara with an evil smile on her face.

Duchess Penelope shook her head and look over to her daughter, Lily and Eric. When she notices that they look a bit awkward being with everyone.

"Lily, dear. Is there something wrong?" asked Duchess Penelope.

"Hmm? Nope, why do you ask mummy?" replied Lily while scratching the back of her neck.

"Well, I can't help but notice that you both seems awkward being with us. So, that made me wonder if something had happened that made you feel that way." said Duchess Penelope.

"Well to be honest, Duchess...em...Lily and I did go through our first heat together and so, we kind of feel embarrassed by it as it is all new to us both." Answered Eric.

Hearing his answer, it made everyone laugh at their reaction as well as how red their face are whenever they look at each other as well as their family. Unable to withstand their laughter, Jun and Nick along with the dukes, brought Eric to the game room, away from all the ladies, leaving Lily with her sisters and duchesses.

"Don't worry, Lily. They are just bringing Eric to the gaming room where they can have along discussion about your heat and many more. So how do you feel? After the heat and all? Do you feel closer to him? Does he feel like he is more dangerous that you thought?" asked Duchess Penelope as she sat closer to her youngest daughter.

"Hmm...well, yes. I do feel like we became more closer and that we feel what the other is feeling. Also, that I must say, he is indeed more dangerous and wilder than I thought he would be." answered Lily with worry in her eyes.

"Well, it is normal for the guys to be that way as once they found their mate, they will become more protective and perverted than before." answered Nina while Sohyun nod her head in agreeing.

"Really? You mean Jun and Nick were the same as Eric back then?" asked Lily with her eyes open wide.

"Well not only them, but your father, Eric's father and the other dukes were the same as well. It was like we awaken the beast inside them when we had our first heat and first bite." Said Duchess Sara with a smile.

Lily nods her head then looks over to the door, wondering what their brothers and fathers are talking about. Wanting to know, Lily tries to use their mind link to listen but only to find being block by a shield and knowing it was her father blocking her, she became pissed and pouts.

Seeing her pouts, Nina and her other sister guessed that she was using the link for the first time to hear but only to be block by their father.

"Anyway, now that you two have grown together and are in the stage closer to mate, he had to help you find out what your powers might be as he has already found his, a long time ago, thanks to his father and brothers." Told Duchess Sara.

"Wait, Eric had his powers already? But I thought that we won't find it out till we turn 18 or even before finding our mate? How was he able to get his before he even..." Lily was about to asked when Duchess Sara cuts her short.

"Okay, hold your horses. First, Eric is older than you by a year or so, but he requested to attend the same school and be in the same class as you, due to his feeling for you and that he has already knew that you are his mate. Second, it was kind of Jun's fault that he gotten his powers earlier than plan." said Duchess Sara.

"What do you mean?" asked Lily confused.

In the gaming room, Jun, Nick and their fathers were busily playing pool while explaining to Eric about the things he had gone through and what is about to come next.

"So, you mean that if I were to lose control again, there is a high chance that I might hurt Lily one way or another?" asked Eric as he walks to the other end of the pool table.

"Yes, but you can overcome it if you listen to her voice, mentally and physically." Answered Jun while keeping his eyes on the ball.

"What exactly does that mean?" asked Eric.

"What Jun meant is that only her voice, her body, blood and looks alone, then can you overcome the insanity and calm your heart rate. If not, as long as you are out of control then it is so long to those that made you angry or anyone." Said Nick as he leans onto the table to hit the white ball.

Eric thought for a moment, trying to collect the information given by his brother and Nick before truing towards his father and Duke Akira.

"Did any of these ever happen to you, father? What about you, Duke Akira?" asked Eric.

"Erm...to be honest...yes. I mean I did ever lost control of myself when your mother was in pain but not when she was giving birth to all of you, but it was because of some other things." Answered Duke Marcus to his son's question.

"As for me, yes. I lost control when my wife was almost hit by a car and when her father...neverminded that is all in the past." Said Duke Akira as he approaches the table as it is his turn.

Even the calm and silent Duke Akira was able to lose control of himself due to his wife injury and things that happen around her. Eric thought for a while, what if in the future, when Lily is to be in pain, will he be able to control his anger and let her calm him down or will she be...

Lost in his thought, Eric didn't notice that Jun was looking at him till he heard his brother voice.

"I know that look. You are worried that you might hurting Lily in the future if you were to lose control, right? Listen brother, I know it might sound but, the funny thing about us is that once we found out mate, no matter how worried we are about hurting them or accidentally hit them, we will always end up not doing it so as once we lay our eyes on them, or even sense their presence, we are able to calm down and cool our temper." Said Jun.

"I have to agree. That was one time that Sohyun was attack by another vampire and she was injured due to the vampire scratch her with their claws. I lost control of everything, even my anger and was about to kill the vampire when Sohyun stops me from doing so. She begs me not to be a killer, hearing her voice, I was able to calm down and brought her back home to treat her wounds." Added Nick while remembering what it was like back then.

Recalling the heartaches when he saw Sohyun bandage back then.

"So, meaning, no matter how much I fear of hurting her, my body will remember that she is not my enemy but my lover and only her can calm my nerves down." Said Eric.

Everyone nods their head and resume back to the game. Eric paused for a moment before joining back to the game.

"Oh, before I forget, on the day of your engagement, your second heat will come and, on that night, a game will be played, to test on your senses and your bond." Reminded Duke Marcus.

"Hmm? What game?" asked Eric.

"Oh...right that game." Said Jun softly with a smirk on his face.
