Save Me...

~Twenty Six~

Mal's POV:
Everyone got up super early today, even Michael. We all decided to lounge around the house, since we didn't have to be at the twerp's house until six.

We watched a movie while swimming in the pool or relaxing in the hot tub. I started working on my next song. Dad made burgers on the grill. Basically we were really lazy.

-A Little While Later-
Calum: It's already five o'clock?

Michael: Time goes fast when you're having fun.

Jen: Why don't we start getting ready?

We agreed and started heading to our rooms.

Mal: What to pick....what to pick.

I said to myself while flipping through my closet.

Aspen: Penguin!

She ran into my room and flopped onto my bed. Scaring the crap out of me in the process.

Mal: *groans* What Turtle?

Aspen: Did you pick what your doing with your hair, yet?

Mal: No, I'm probably putting it in a ponytail.

Aspen: What? No you're not! Lucky for you, you have an amazing best friend/cousin that has thought of literally everything!

Mal: *laughs* Oh yeah? And what did the wonderful Ashton come up with, huh? *laughs*

Aspen: Hey! *laughs*

Ashton walked past my door laughing.

Aspen: *laughs* Shut up Ashton! Will you hear my idea now?

Mal: I'm sorry. Yes, what was your idea?

Aspen: I found these two flower crowns in my bag, an-

Mal: Why do you have two of the same flower crown?

Aspen: I bought it myself, then one of the boys bought the same one for me for Christmas.

I understandingly nodded.

Aspen: I was wondering... can you would wear one with me?

You're probably wondering why she's asking for my permission to wear her stuff. It's because I don't like wearing flower crowns. They make me itchy, and I feel like a bush.

I was getting ready to say no, when I looked over at her. She wasn't pouting or anything, but I could tell she was excited and hopeful.

Mal: I'll wear a flower crown with you.

Aspen: Seriously, you would look amazing in the- wait? Did you say yes?

Mal: *laughs* Yes, I will wear matching flower crowns with you.

Aspen:*excited scream* You are amazing! I love you, I love you, I love you!

Mal:*laughs* I love you too.

Aspen: Alright, let's cut the mush-fest and curl our hair.

After we did our hair, we finished getting ready.

Colin: Kids! You ready to go?

Everyone: Yeah!

We got downstairs and the guys were giving me weird looks.

Mal: Enough staring, that's what the internet's for.

Shawn: She actually did it.

Mal: Did what?

Calum: I never thought it would happen.

Mal: What wouldn't happen?

Ashton: Maybe this is a fake Mal?

Mal: It's me.

Micheal: The impossible has happened.

I looked at Luke.

Mal: What are these idiots taking about?

Luke: You're wearing a flower crown.

I rolled my eyes and laughed.

Aspen: She looks amazing.

Luke: She really does.

Micheal: *punches Luke's arm*

Mal: It's not a big deal. It means a lot to Aspen, and it's not that itchy.

Ashton: You also don't look like a bush, like you think you do.

Mal: Thank you.

Lana: Alright, lets go.

We walked across the street, and knocked on their door. A women around my parents age answered the door.

Megan: Hi, you must be our new neighbors?

Jen: We are, yes.

Megan: Oh, come in, I'm Megan. My family is on the back patio.

We joined them outside. We got there and we saw a man also around my parents age behind the grill.

Megan: This is my husband Austin.

He smiled at us, which we all returned.

Austin: And this is our son Zach.

He shyly waved, I guess he's still scared of the boys. *laughs*

I noticed Zach's hand, it's in a blue cast. I nudged Luke.

Luke: What's up, Princess?

Mal: Look at his hand.

This attracted the rest of my friends attention.

Mikey and Luke kept chuckling, while everyone else tries to hold it in. I smacked both of them, to get them to stop. So I wouldn't laugh either.

I quickly changed the subject, cause one of us was going to break.

Mal: Is there anything we can help you with?

Austin: Actually no. Everything is finished.

He took the last of the food off the grill and placed the plate on the table.

Megan: I hope you guys are hungry.

We nodded our heads. We sat down at the table, immediately digging in.

We enjoyed our meal, and got to know each other better. By the time we looked at a clock, it was eight at night. We said our goodbyes to each other.

Throughout the whole night Zach was acting really weird towards me. I shrugged it off because we were leaving.

We got back to the house and decided to call it a night. Our exciting holiday activities start tomorrow.
