Side Kick? No, Partner (Peter Parker x Reader)

Chapter 10

You had already left Peters house though sent him a text saying you needed to be home for something though you were actually called to a meeting for the new avenger that would be joining the team. You had a pretty good idea of who it would be, but you figured you would greet him anyway. You snapped your fingers and changed into your suit once again before entering the conference room.

"So as you probably expected, (y/n). We have a new member showing up later today and I need you to show him around and then later spar with him to see the full extent of his abilities." Tony informed. You raised a brow.

"Your kidding right? I'm pretty sure I know his powers well enough after that fiasco at the air port." You snarkily replied. Tony rolled his eyes.

"Just spar with the damn kid. He should be here any minute. And don't worry, I didn't tell him who you were."

"Thanks Tony." You said before leaving the room. You could hear the elevator coming up so you decided to wait in front of the doors with your arms behind your back, back straight and your hood covered your eyes. The doors opened revealing Peter his eyes widened when he met you. "Welcome, Parker. You already know who I am and I already know who you are so let's get this over with." You said turning and beginning to walk off. Peter quickly caught up and walked next to you. "So this floor is where the Avengers usually hang out. Over there we have the kitchen, living room, dining room and the bar. If Tony catches you drinking, not my fault." You said. You turned and went down a corridor. "If we go through these doors, it leads to the helipad aka the giant ass belcony." You said as you stepped out of the way to let Peter out first. After the tour you turned to him as you stopped in front of the doors to the training room. "Now, Tony requested that I spared with you just to test your abilities even though we've fought before..." You muttered while entering the training room.

"ah right. Sorry about that..." he replied rubbing the back of his neck adorably again. You just shrugged and threw him his suit.

"Throw that on and show me what you got." You replied with a smirk. He nodded and went off to the bathroom to change before coming back to you. He stood there awkwardly and you rolled your eyes but he couldn't see it.

"Are you going to stand there awkwardly or are you going to attack?" You asked resting a hand on your hip.

"Oh! Right. Sorry about that." he replied before he began attacking and shooting webs. You fight back and he was definitely good at fighting. But apparently not as good as you. By the end of the fight you had him pinned down for a bit until he tapped out. You pulled away from him and dusted yourself off.

"I will admit, your strong and know how to fight. But there is a lot we need to work on there. I'll report to Tony and see what he has to say but in my opinion, you need to work on your reflexes and expecting the un expected. You also need to not be so damn reckless." You said. "Correct me if I'm wrong, but your hair stands up when you sense something off correct?" Peter stood up and nodded.

"Sometimes it's not that quick with picking things up but it does work." he replied as he took off his mask.

"Sometimes isn't enough. We need to train your senses to work faster and more efficiently. For now, feel free to use any equipment here while I talk to Tony and see what he should tell me what's to do." You say before leaving the room to find Tony.

"How did the kid do?" Tony asked not looking back since Friday had informed you that you'd be there.

"Was close to beating me. But I might help him tweak or train his senses to be better. He told me that sometimes they work really well while other times they don't. I don't know if you want me to work on it now or later." You replied crossing your arms.

"Don't work on it now. Wait a while and give him a break for now. Your free to do whatever you want now." Tony dismissed you. You nodded and headed off back to Peter. You stopped in the door way and watched as Peter was training or working out in general. He stopped and panted heavily. His brown curls stuck to his forehead a bit due to the sweat. He noticed you in the corner of his eyes and finally turned to you.

"What did Mr. stark say?" he asked. You were surprised he could go from such a concentrated (and honestly very attractive) guy to a shy and timid (and adorable) guy.

"He said we can work on your senses later. For now your able to do whatever and relax for a while. He'll let you know when it's a good time to train you." You informed him as you pushed off the doorframe to approach him. He gave a nod.

"Okay. Sounds good. Could you show me to my room once again? I k-kinda forgot..." he muttered sheepishly. You let you a chuckle and gestured for him to follow. He followed alongside you to his room.

"Here you are. If you ever want to know where i am, just ask Friday. She should tell you where everyone is if you need them." You informed him. He raised a brow.

"Friday?" he asked confused. You chuckled.

"Friday." You called out.

"Yes miss Azul?" she replied. Peter looked amazed though also confused.

"Why don't you introduce yourself to our new recruit, Peter Parker?"

"Of course. Welcome to the Avengers Sir Parker. I am Friday. I am what keeps check of everything in the Avengers tower. I was created by Tony Stark and if you have any questions, you I am happy to be of help." Peter gave a nod and Friday kept quiet.

"Is this place always awesome?" peter asked you like he was a kid in the middle of a theme park.

"You should be here when we have celebrations. Which we may or may not be holding one fairly soon." You replied with a smirk. "Anyway, I'll leave you to it." and with that, you left him to do whatever we needed. The party you were hinting to was a celebration for Peter joining the Avengers. You helped Tony and Steve set everything up with your telekinesis Tony had told Thor to detract Peter while everyone set everything up and Tony invited a few people. After you set everything up, you went to your room to change out of your hero suit and into black ripped jeans, a dark blue flannel with a hoodie over top. You used the hood to cover your eyes so Peter doesn't find our who you are. You had already told everyone to call you Azul so he doesn't know who you really are and thankfully everyone agreed to that. The party was set and everyone arrived and once everyone had showed up, Peter finally came to the main room and everyone shouted with joy. You went up and gave Peter a hug. "Welcome to the Avengers Peter."
