Cheating (Part 3) - AA 🏈

Y/N'S POV

You hung up on him and the room was silent again until your sobs start again, uncontrollably breaking to the surface.

"It hurts so bad." All your friends did was hug you. It didn't make the pain leave, but it helped you heal. You stay in the house Saturday and Sunday, eating ice cream and watching Netflix with Veronica, Betty, Cheryl, Toni and Kevin. Soon, Monday morning rolled around and you knew that you had to face him sometime.

"Y/N, are you sure you don't want to stay home for today?" Betty asks, a worried tone evident in her voice as she watches you pack your school bag.

"B, I have to face him sometime. Of course it still hurts, but I can't let him know that. He's nothing." You look in the mirror as you finish off your lipstick. You went with a fierce and confident look today, something out of your comfort zone. If you had to face Archie, may as well make him regret every time he's wronged you. You stare in the mirror before taking a deep breath.

"Y/N is right, Betty. All we can do is be there for her. I know she's got this." Veronica hops off of your bed before straightening your jacket. In hand, Archie's football jacket. You considered burning it, but decided that humiliating him would be the better choice. You, Betty and Veronica all hop in Veronica's car and head off to school, Toni and Cheryl has left earlier. You inhale and exhale, trying to keep calm and not cry as you approach the school. Betty grabs your hand, rubbing it comfortingly.

"Hey, hey, it's okay." She strokes her thumb across the back of your hand as your heart races, trying your best to calm down. Betty pulls you into a hug and the car soon stops. You finally relax, knowing that it would all be okay. Shakily, you hop out of the car and as you walk into the school, you can feel all eyes on you. Word travels fast at Riverdale High. You weren't really surprised, but you still felt exposed as sympathetic and questioning looks are sent your way. Veronica tries her best to deflect most of them, glaring at each of the other students. You power down the hallway, passing lockers and classrooms until you get to the room where the gang usually hung out. You inhale, your hands shaking as you spot your cheating boyfriend on the lounge, chatting to Jughead. Jughead spots you and goes to wave, but realises the dead yet furious look in your eyes, immediately noting that something was seriously wrong. Archie spots you soon after and smiles an apologetic smile.

"Y/N!" He hops up and makes his way over to you urgently. You stay still, fury building in your chest again as your fist clenches around Archie's football jersey. You used to wear it around school. Now that you knew your relationship meant nothing, you wanted to destroy it, just like Archie has destroyed your relationship. On the outside, you look quite calm to most people. On the inside, however, a tornado of lividness, agony and restlessness swirled throughout your entire body, making all of your muscles rigid and your teeth clench. "Y/N, you can't te-"

"YOU'RE A CHEATING BASTARD, ARCHIE ANDREWS!! AND YOU'RE A HORRIBLE LIAR TOO!" You scream at the top of your lungs. The room is now silent, all eyes on the two of you. Tears finally fall from your eyes as You huff with anger. Betty goes to stop you, but Cheryl stops her.

"He deserves this. You know how badly she needs this." Betty only sighs and nods her head in agreement.

"Y/N, I'm so sorry." You almost cackle with hysteria as you wipe away your tears. You felt like you were burning from the inside out, a sense of nausea passing over you.

"Sorry isn't going to fix this, Andrews. Sorry isn't going to save your ass." A look of pain urges itself into Archie's face. You look at the jacket in your hand. "YOU CAN HAVE YOUR STUPID FUCKING JACKET BACK!! I DON'T NEED IT ANYMORE!" You throw it on the ground and stomp on it with your heel/sneaker/sandal. You turn and march into the hallway. All eyes target you as you march down the hallway.
