Y/N'S POV

You were psyched to see your boyfriend. You hadn't seen Archie at all during the school day due to your busy schedules and Archie's lunchtime music lesson with Miss Grundy. You're almost jumping for joy, giggling like an insane person.

"Wow, I haven't seen you this excited in weeks, may I even say months." Veronica chuckles at your odd behaviour, though the behaviour isn't odd coming from you. You're always really bright and bubbly, you truly brightened everyone's day.

"I'm just excited to see Arch, I haven't seen him at all today." You hear the final bell ring and proceed to skip excitedly down the hall. "Bye V!" You wave goodbye to your friend while continuing to make your way to the Music rooms. Time seems to slow down as you peek through the window and see a familiar redhead with his lips attached to the older brunette. You felt your heart tear in half as you gasp. You quickly turn on your feet and run back down the hall, out back into the car park. You feel a scream stuck in the back of your throat. This can't be happening again, not with Archie. You ran as fast you could, feeling a horrible feverish sweat creep on you.

VERONICA'S POV

I chuckle at Y/N one last time as you skipped away before heading to the school park. I grab my car keys out of my purse and not even five minutes after saying goodbye to me, I see my friend sprint towards me, looking extremely distressed. She quickly hugs me, almost making me drop my keys and I embrace her, stroking her hair in comfort.

"Honey, what's wrong?" I question my friend as she sobs into my shoulder.

"I-I..." She tries to speak but sobs even louder. I lead her into the passenger side of my car before hopping into the driver's side.

"Y/N," I speak to her very calmly. "I can't help you if you can't talk to me so I need you to just breathe and tell me what's going on." She inhales loudly a few times before calming down enough to actually speak.

"I saw Archie and Miss Grundy kissing." is all she said and I felt my heart drop. What the hell is wrong with him?! How could he stoop so low?!

"Did he say anything to you?" I ask, trying to remain composed when I was actually boiling on the inside.

"N-no, he didn't s-see me. I t-thought he'd be different, I-I didn't know h-h-he'd be like him." The poor girl stutters, wiping her eyes again.

"Okay, I'm going to call Betty and Kevin for an emergency sleepover and we are going to watch movies and eat ice cream. Then tomorrow, we'll see how we go. I'm really sorry this happened, Y/N. You don't deserve this, especially after your last." All my friend could do was nod softly before she buckles her seatbelt and stares out the window, tears softly rolling down her cheeks like a river. I click on Betty's phone number and wait as it rings. She picks up after three rings.

"Hey V," She greets cheerfully through the phone. I glance over at Y/N and I can almost hear her heart breaking and the harsh shaking of her chest.

"Betty, Y/N's going through a heartbreak, we'll explain later. Just please bring ice cream and junk food to my house, I'll pay you back later. Oh yeah, and bring our favourite gay." There's a short silence on the other end of the phone.

"I'm on my way," Betty replies before hanging up. I turn the car on and back out of the carpark before driving towards my house.
