The large white building welcomed my entrance as I took my first steps with heavy feet , reciting the name of my favourite deity to give me the strength to face the day.
It was my first day in my new school . I was full of nervousness and was moving towards my class with nervous steps . A kind of fear was flowing in my veins . Moreover , I entered in class by adding all my braveness , which was full of students talking to each other . Even though some of them noticed my entry but they acted as if they were not interested in me . So I went to a vaccant seat at the end of the row . I don't know why but the students who are supposed to be my classmates were giving me awkward glances as if I have grown horns on my head.I ignored them and started settling my stuffs on desk .
Suddenly a group of girls , laughing and giggling came into the class and started troubling others . But one of them seems not to be so interested in that.She simply came towards me and started glaring at me with anger . “How dare you to encroach Tanvi's place ? Move...move away from here right now ” she said in an angry voice .
“Who Tanvi ? Whom are you talking about ? ” , I asked innocently.She glared at me as if she will eat me without frying . “I...I'm Tanvi”, she replied .
I was busy admiring her right from the time she entered the class.Her face was like sunflower adored with her deep hazel eyes , rosy lips ,and a cute nose . When she suddenly initiated the conversation or rather say fight even then I was smiling like a fool as I actually didn't get it that she is angry with me.Don't know why but somewhere I felt happy and contented with that...
“Oh hello...Mr... where are you lost? Just get the hell out of my seat!!!!”,Her angry voice made me come back from my La La land.
“See , I came here first so I'm not going anywhere.Moreover this seat is not your property but the school's. And then even if you want to sit here,you can,as there is much space for two persons... So if you wish you can join me.” I said trying to persuade her to sit with me as that was the only way to befriend her.
Her face became as red as tomato , she nearly yelled , “ How dare you ? I'll not.Do you even know who am I ?”
“Attention Girls and Boys,the girl right beside me don't know who she is.It would be so greatful of you if you could help her with it!”,standing upon the bench , I took the class for the announcement.
Her mouth shot opened and her eyes looked as if they would fall out of socket any time. Soon the expressions of surpise got replaced with the one of anger and rage. She left the class stumping her feet.
I stood there surprised of what I just did. I don't know from where, all that courage came from that I said all that which I never expected myself to say.
And....on the very first day at my NEW SCHOOL I made my very first enemy....
This is going to be tough...indeed!
