“Yes, sweetheart?” Stormie replied.
“We want to know which names are better for the babies.” I said. Stormie nodded.
“Well for the boy, we were thinking Riley or Michael.” Rocky said. Stormie thought about it.
“Those names are both adorable, but I love the name Riley.” She said.
“Ha!” Rocky said to me. I pushed him playfully.
“So, we still have the girl names left.” I said. I turned to Stormie. “For the baby girl, we can’t decide between Reagan and Marcie.”
“Oh, Marcie, dear. That’s a lovely name.” Stormie said instantly.
“Ha!” I said to Rocky.
“I’m cool with that.” He said, rubbing my belly.
“So it’s settled. The boy will be Riley Michael Lynch and the girl will be Marcie Reagan Lynch.” I smiled. Stormie suddenly hugged us.
“I’m so excited for you two!” She exclaimed. I laughed.
“Mom.” Rocky whined. Stormie pulled away, touched our cheeks, and walked into the next room. I laughed again.
“What?” Rocky asked.
“Nothing.” I smiled. I grabbed his hand. “Lets go.” I said, pulling him up the stairs.
As soon as I got home, I jumped in bed. I was so exhausted, both pyshically and mentally. I crawled under the covers, and as soon as I knew it, I was asleep.
I was walking down the same tunnel as my other “dream”. When I got to the end, is stopped.
“Hello?” I called out. All I heard was my echo.
“Marie.” I heard a familiar voice say from behind me. I turned around.
“Mommy!” I cried out. My mom was standing a few feet away from me. My mom! I ran into her arms. “I missed you.” I said, into her white dress.
“I know you did, sweetie. I was always there, though. I was protecting you, your family, and Rocky.” She said.
“Wait, you know about Rocky?” I sniffled. She smiled.
“I know about everything. I am an angel.” She said. I giggled.
“Yeah, I guess I forgot about that." I pulled away and looked down at my stomach. Surprisingly, my baby bump wasn’t there and I was wearing this long, flowy, white dress. I started to panic. My mom put her hands on my shoulders, something she always did when I got worried.
“Don’t worry, sweetheart, Riley and Marcie are still there in your belly, you just cant see them here.” She said, calming me a bit.
“I guess you know.” I said, looking down. “I bet your ashamed.” My mom took my hands in hers. I thought I would have never felt that before. I thought I would never see her gorgeous brown hair again and the birthmark she had on her chin.
“I’m not. I’m proud of you. You’re growing up. You’re the daughter I always wished you’d be. I love you.” She said. I smiled. “Also, I have a surprise for you.” She turned her head back. “Riley, Marcie, come say 'hi' to your mommy.”
