Kong's POV
I have never met a bigger, more gullible idiot than P'Arthit. It is almost humanly impossible to get any more naive. Even a blind fool could see she wasn't behaving even remotely like someone who had just gotten dumped. More like a person who just happened to get back together with her ex. Just three weeks? Was he freaking serious? The only person she intended on moving out in three weeks was me. While poor little helpless Nam made her way permanently back into this apartment as well as his life.
Ugghhh!
If I wasn't insanely mad at him right now I would have marched outside and dragged him to my room and kept him locked up here to ensure as much distance between them as possible but he more than deserved atleast one night on the couch. I was lying face down on my bed trying to bury my head as deep as possible under the pillows to block out their conversation outside. But I doubt there were enough pillows in the world for me to have missed her offering to share his own bed with him.
Are you fucking kidding me?
What damsel in distress wants to sleep next to her ex-boyfriend while she is still supposedly pining over her current one. Did P'Arthit have cotton stuffed in his head where his brains should have been whenever his ex was concerned? I guess I need to concede this round to her. But if she thinks she is getting rid of me that easily she definitely has another thing coming. Cause there is absolutely no way under the sun that I will allow P'Arthit to get back together with that manipulative she-devil. I hadn't sacrificed my id picture and scrubbed this dumpster on my hands and knees because of the mess she caused for nothing.
So I am going to take tonight to hurl as many mental curses that I have learnt in every possible language at P'Arthit. Let him sweat it out a little on his own on the massively uncomfortable couch. And from tomorrow we shall find out how vicious I can really be when I actually put my mind to it.
But it seems he wasn't the only one who suffered from a sleepless night. I was hyper aware every single time she would leave the bedroom to make a seemingly innocent trip through the living room. Right past the couch P'Arthit was supposed to be sleeping on. And after the 15th time I couldn't help but groan out loud.
For heaven's sake woman, will you please just go to sleep. I am trying to come up with a game plan here.
Hence, it was not at all surprising when the three of us, eerily resembling raccoons, had a fairly subdued breakfast the next morning. Neither ready to be the first one to breach uncomfortable topics just yet. Apparently, we had three weeks to go down that list.
"I am going to head out now, P'Nam how about I give you a ride to work?"
I had two heads snap in my direction, both gaping at me with unconcealed surprise.
"You want to give Nam a ride? I thought I was going...."
"Don't worry P', I got glasses while you were gone yesterday. I won't put P'Nam's precious life in danger."
"Uh...no...that's not what I meant..."
"Are you ready P'Nam?"
"Ummm....yeah sure. Why not? It will be good to spend more time with you. If I am going to be staying here might as well get to know you a little better."
"You must have read my mind." As they say, know your enemy better than your friends.
We left a rather shell shocked P'Arthit and walked towards my car with smiles so fake we could audition for Botox commercials.
"Do you want to tell me why are you suddenly behaving so nice to me?"
"I don't know what you mean P'Nam. I am nothing if not nice to the guests in my house."
