Well, she'd just have to deal with it. "I don't...know Aquatic." She replied awkwardly. He didn't seem remotely surprised.

"Of course. When you're faking a disguise, you wouldn't know about Aquatic if you weren't a seawing."

She nearly fell over. She'd have to keep it cool and make sure he didn't believe that. She held a grip on her scales and replied calmly. "What do you mean?" She just needed to know what Kelp was assuming.

"Your claws aren't webbed. You can't swim. You don't know the way to the palace." He pointed out each individual thing as if it was normal for a hidden dragon to stroll into the ocean. She quickly thought of possible replies.

"I have gills don't I? How do you think I survived under the water? And how do you think I faked light up stripes? Also, about the webs, can't you tell my wings are burned? These claws burn just as easily." She hoped it was a good enough excuse to go past him. Thankfully, Kelp just shrugged.

"So do you want me to take you to the beach? Are you lost?" He asked. She shook her head as he spoke.

"No. I'm looking for a dragon. A seawing named Cascade." Sadly, that was all the information she could produce with such little knowledge of where she came from. Hopefully it would be enough.

His eyes went as wide as the moons above. "Cascade?" He breathed. "YOU want to see her?"

She nodded. "Yes, Cascade. I'm her daughter. Is there something wrong?" She added. She did NOT want something to be wrong with her mother just like something was wrong with her father. She desperately wanted her mother to be the best mother in the sea. Please be everything I've ever dreamed of, she thought.

"No. Not at all. Did you say you were Cascade's daughter? Do you know what this means?" He grasped her front talons. His webs felt strange.

"No..." She replied, slowly prying them off. What was Kelp up to? Why was he so persistent? What was with all the questions he was asking?

"You're my daughter! Little dragon, I'm your dad. If Cascade is your mother...we're a family."
