"Unsupported flight." Says Severus. We're back at Hogwarts, out on the Quidditch pitch. "Very difficult to learn, admittedly very fun. The dark lord has instructed me to teach you how, and I think it's a useful skill."
I clap. "That would be so cool!"
"Let's get to work."
After an hour of trying, I can jump higher than a normal person and stay up for a second, before falling onto the ground.
"Try to channel your energy. Start again."
Another 15 minutes and I can stay up for a bit longer, but I still can't fly. Severus decides to end the lesson and send me back to my common room.
Hermione meets me in the dorm.
"We have defence against the dark arts tomorrow."
I groan. "Merlin's beard! Already?"
"Yes."
"Got those healing spells ready?"
"Of course."
"Harry's gonna need them. I'm not even going to try and stop him."
"Why?"
"He does what he wants. Anyway, if it's meant to happen, it will happen."
"While we're on the subject of things happening..."
"Yes?"
"Fred asked Emma-Leigh out."
I squeal. "That's the cutest thing ever! When? Where? Did she say yes?!"
"He asked today while walking past her in the corridors. He just sort of stopped her, asked, and when she said yes, he kept walking."
"That's adorable! I'd better go see her! Bye!"
I run over to the Ravenclaw common room. Emma-Leigh is surrounded by girls. When she sees me I grin.
"Em! How come I didn't know?"
"We have different classes."
"Oh well, I still wanted to know!"
"Now you do."
"How are you so calm?"
"I'm not. At least, not on the inside."
"Did you already have the dance party without me?"
"Yeah. How did you know?"
"My mini people. Mini you is dating mini Fred."
"Aww!"
I sit down with her and Hazel, along with the other girls. I thought they'd all be nerds but they're all girly when it comes to boys. When it starts to get dark, we say goodbye and I go back to my common room.

It's been a month. Hazel's going to try out for beater soon. Once the twins are out of the team. I'm not too involved with the trio this year. All I'll be doing is joining the D.A. on their adventures.
I can float around for a little bit when I try to fly now. I don't do it in front of Harry, though. When I'm not learning, or checking on Harry's hand, I'm helping the twins develop their skiving snackboxes, since I'm experienced with spells.
Even though I'm not an actual witch.
Their reactions will be priceless.
Right now I'm heading to Severus's office. I have this year's book in my hand. I'll give him next year's if he asks for it.
I knock on the door.
"Come in."
I open the door and hold out the book.
"Just warning you, I'm going to help the twins go out with a bang this year."
"What are you talking about?"
"Well, since Umbridge..." I cast a silencing charm on the door. "Is a toad, they get really fed up and leave. They've got everything already planned and ready for when they leave school, but they'll want to leave early. I'm going to help them."
"How will they leave, exactly?"
"Put Umbridge in her place with fireworks and riding off on their confiscated broomsticks. They interrupt Harry's O.W.Ls. I won't even bother turning up for mine. Umbridge doesn't teach, she tells you to read a book on safety, and incantations. Nothing on practicing, nothing on danger. You don't even touch your wand. Voldemort is out there!"
"I know. I'll prepare everybody next year."
"You'd better." I say, smiling. "Can I skip seventh year? Just while the Carrows teach there."
"No way, I want you to learn. Just do what they say."
"I'll try, but when they go extreme, and they will, I'm fighting back."
"Why?" He looks slightly angry.
"Because they're going to get us to perform the torture curse! On first years!"
He looks down at the book in his hand. "I'll try to lessen your punishment, they'll know the situation. But don't get caught. Please."
"I have no intention on getting caught."
"Also, why isn't your Ravenclaw friend mentioned?"
"Emma-Leigh?"
"Yes."
"I'm still trying to work that out. I'll ask her once everybody's allowed to know the story."
"Can I have next year's book?"
"Okay." I pull it out of my bag and hand it to him.
"What about the last one?"
"I'll give it to you at Christmas. Have fun bawling your eyes out at Harry's reaction to the deaths." I smile and step out. The last I see of him is his smile.
