10 Years Later
Shreya's POV
How difficult can trekking be?
That was the exact question I had asked myself...
For the hundredth time.
I stared at the stupid adventure package brochure lying in front of me.
Mountain trekking.
Camping.
River crossing.
Forest trail.
No luxury hotels.
No personal chefs.
No room service.
No heated pools.
No giant suites.
Basically...
Homelessness with scenery.
And somehow—
I had decided this was the perfect anniversary gift for my husband.
Why?
Because my husband was insane.
Correction.
My husband was Reyhansh Singhania.
A man who ran billion-dollar corporations like they were kindergarten projects.
A man who worked twenty hours a day and somehow still managed to be a ridiculously attentive father.
And unfortunately...
An annoyingly good husband.
Well.
It was our ninth anniversary.
Technically heading toward ten years of marriage.
And my darling mother-in-law had once again kidnapped all three children and taken them to Los Angeles Disneyland.
Her excuse?
"You two need privacy."
Her real motive?
"I want more grandchildren."
That woman never stopped.
Ever.
Trust me.
After child number three...
She somehow became more motivated.
And yes.
We had child number three.
A beautiful little terrorist named Myra Singhania.
Seven years after the twins.
Unexpected.
Unplanned.
And entirely Rey's fault.
Do not ask for scientific explanation.
I refuse.
I sighed deeply.
Life was beautiful now.
But not perfect.
There was a time...
Three years ago...
After Myra was born...
When Rey and I nearly ended up divorced.
Not because we stopped loving each other.
No.
