The Singhania Household: A Daily Disaster
Shreya's POV (continued)
God.
I really married a menace.
And somehow...
Life kept getting progressively worse.
Not bad worse.
Chaotic worse.
The kind where every single day I wake up wondering—
What fresh nonsense awaits me today?
And usually...
The answer is—
My husband.
And if fate is feeling particularly cruel—
My husband plus my brothers.
Which essentially means I stand no chance.
Absolute zero.
For example—
Today.
A perfectly normal Sunday morning.
Peaceful.
Quiet.
Calm.
Exactly how I like it.
Or at least...
That's what I thought.
I woke up naturally.
No children jumping on me.
No Rey trying to seduce me before breakfast.
No mother-in-law calling from another continent asking whether her future grandchild count was increasing.
Suspicious.
Very suspicious.
I sat up slowly.
Looked beside me.
Empty.
No Rey.
That was alarming.
Because this man treated sleeping without touching me like a human rights violation.
I walked toward the bathroom.
Empty.
I frowned.
Then I heard it.
Whispers.
From downstairs.
Men whispering together.
Which in my experience always meant—
Something expensive was about to happen.
I quietly walked toward the staircase.
And froze.
Oh.
My.
God.
There they were.
Four grown idiots.
My husband.
Abhay.
Aayush.
Aryan.
All standing around the dining table like some underground crime syndicate.
Sahej and Taasha sitting between them looking extremely serious.
What the hell?
I quietly hid behind the wall.
