Telling the Guys

It's been about a month since me a Colby started officially "dating". We haven't told anybody about it aside from Vanessa. We finally decided to tell the roommates about it but we didn't want to make it totally public with the fear that Colby's fans would assassinate me (seriously). So I waited in my room for Colby to get home from the gym with Sam and Jake.

[Sorry Jake hasn't been in this yet because I forgot he existed for awhile. Oops.]

Colby called me down and we stood in front of the couch with Corey, Aaron, Sam, and Jake sitting down.

"So guys we have something that we want to tell all of you," Colby told them. "It's kind of serious and we don't really want this to go totally public yet."

"It's a prank," Sam said. "It's totally a prank. Where's the camera?"

"Dude I haven't even said anything yet!"

"It's a prank."

"Sam it's not a prank." I told him

"As I was saying, we didn't want anyone else to know for the fear of loosing my fan base.'

"Okay.. Know what?" Elton asked.

Me and Colby looked at each other for a second.

"That.." Colby started "We've been dating for about a month now."

Elton froze in place staring at Colby. Colby got the hint and slowly started backing away.

"So yea that's all I wanted to say so... I'll just go back to editing in my room for a bit."

"Colby," Elton started, "I didn't quite catch that did you say you're dating my niece?"

"Maybe..?"

"Oh okay. That's what I thought you said." Elton then started to count down from five. "Five... Four."

"Elton... what are you doing?"

"Three.. Two.." Colby finally got the hint and sprinted out the door. "One.. Zero."

Elton got up and sprinted out after Colby. All I could hear from outside what the sound of them both running and Colby screaming for help.

"Should we help him or...?" Corey asked.

"This was bound to happen sooner or later," I told him, "Elton just needs to get it out of his system."

Ten minutes and a few more chases later Elton finally calmed down and came back into the living room. Colby was still afraid it wasn't over and hid out in his room. About 5 minutes later Colby got bored and came back out.

"I still think it's a prank," Sam pointed out.

"If this was a prank do you think I would let Elton chase me all over the house?"

"Yes."

"Okay as true as that is, this is not a prank."

"Then kiss her!"

"What?" Elton chimed in.

"I'm calling bs just like I did with Alyssa. If you kiss her then I will believe that this is real."

Colby and I look at each other wondering if it was worth it. I mean, don't get me wrong it's not like I didn't want to kiss him it just is weird to be forced to kiss in front of all the roommates just to prove a point. 

Colby didn't want Sam to think this was a prank so he leaned in, wrapped his arm around my waist, and kissed me.
