Chapter 23

I was still falling but it stopped, not because I hit the ground but because someone had caught me and it was the man that was in my house "Let go of me" I yell thrashing my arms around

"Wake up Yasha. Please wake up" He said

"I'm awake!" I was still trying to get out of his grasp but them I felt something cold on my face. I opened my eyes. I was asleep. I look and I was halfway down a building but I was in someone's arms. It was Arima

"What the hell where you thinking? Stop moving or all of us will die" He yelled at me. He pulled us up with his quinque and we where on the roof and he saw I was scared "Why did you do that. You know you can always talk to me about it" He said pulling me into a hug and I started to cry

"I'm sorry Arima san. I was dreaming and I woke up looking like a was just about to give birth then I saw you but I couldn't remember you so I ran off and someone in a mask grabbed me and dropped me off a roof and you tried to save me but I wouldn't let you" I was still crying and he hugs me closer

"I'm sorry for yelling at you. I was scared I was going to lose you. You really scared me. I heard you yelling so I went to find you then you ran off and I followed you and you just jumped off the side of the building before I got to you" He said picking me up

"I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it" I said still crying

"I don't care what you say but we're sleeping together for the next few days" He said taking me home and poured me a glass of water "Here drink this" He said passing It to me

"Thank you Arima san" I was still shaking and he came over and hugged me

"Calm down my love, you're safe now" I moved the cup closer to my mouth and took a sip and Arima got up "No please stay with me" I say and he walked back and hugged me. I finished the glass of water and he picked me up and took me to his room and was still hugging me as he put the blankets over us "Try and get some sleep my love" He said kissing my forehead and I just snuggled into his chest and he tightens his grip of me "Please don't let me go" I whisper "I promise I wont let go" he said as a fall back sleep

A knock on the door woke me up. Arima didn't let his grip loosen on me "Arima, Someone is at the door" I said and he got up "Let me get it Yasha" He got up and I followed him and when we opened the door Akira and Amon where there and I yawn "Morning Akira and Amon" I said "Try afternoon" Amon said and I look at my watch and it was just pass 12 "We were told to investigate something that happened last night and decided to check in with you" Akira said and I let them in "What where you investigating?" I ask bring coffees out "Last night there was a case of where a woman was screaming jumped off a building but was saved by what looked a ghoul said the witness" Amon said and I yawn still being tired "Case closed" I said taking a sip of coffee "Do you know what happened?" Akira asked "Yeah I do because it was me" I said "What made you jump off a 30 story building?" Amon asked "Well I was stuck in a dream and I was 'kisnapped' by a guy in a mask and was thrown off a building but what really happened was I jumped off before Arima got to me and he saved me with his quinque" I said "Anything else strange that happened in your dream?" Akira asked "I had completely forgotten Arima and looked as if I was going to give birth any day soon" I stretched my arms and put my hand on my stomach "When I got her she was screaming and thrashing around and yelling at me to leave her alone and it truly scared the living daylights out of me" Amon said coming over to hug me "You two need to get a room" Amon said "This is our house" Arima said "Anyway we're heading back to the office to report. Are you two coming with us or taking the day off" Akira asked and I look at Arima and he shakes his head "Give me 5 minutes and I'll be ready" I said getting up and making my way to my room and getting my uniform on and brushed my hair then made my way back to the lounge room and Arima wasn't there "How come I'm always ready before him? How come people say girls take so long when boys take longer" I said shaking my head then Arima walks down "Where you bashing my ego my love?" He asked "Yes, yes I was" I said giggling and we all walk out the door and decided to walk to the office and I started to get nervous as we approached the gates "Yasha are you alright?" Arima asked "I'm scared about the gates going off again" I whisper to him "Just relax" He said and he held my hand when I went through and it didn't go off and I let out a sigh of relief and I decided to go to the field investigator's part to see what Akira is working on. She pulled got me a chair to see what she was working on then the mail boy came in and he looked very familiar and he started to talk to Takizawa " Its Nagachika, Jeez you could at least remember my name?" he said looking at Takizawa's work "Eyepatch? He sounds kind of scary" He said walking off "Oh do you know if a Yasha Natsumi is? I was told she might be here" He oranged hair boy said and I raise my hand "That would be me. You look familiar. Oh your Hideyoshi Nagachika. I knew you looked familiar" I said and he passed me the letter "How do I know you again?" HE asked "Oh I visit a café and you and a friend where there a lot and I just remember faces and names well" I said "Oh you're the lady who sits by the window and writes in a notebook and is extremely nice to everyone" And I nod "Its nice meeting you again but I have to get back to my mail run" He said leaving and Akira looked at me "Oh that's the kid that will be working under Amon and I soon" I looked shocked "Really?" I ask "Yeah he wants to be an investigator so he was assigned to us" She said "I wonder why" I mumble as I open the letter. It was a letter from Anteiku saying congratulations for the baby "Aww they're so sweet" I say "Who?" Akira asked "Of Anteiku. One of the workers found me after I took the test and took me back to the café and helped me before someone took me home. They sent me a congratulations card for the baby" I said showing her the card "That's beautiful" She said and Takizawa looked shocked "Baby?" He said looking at me 'I didn't want anyone else to know' "Yeah I'm having a baby. I only found out yesterday after all the pain I was in" I said "That's beautiful but should you still be working?" HE asked "I'm going to work until I'm like 7 and a half months then Arima will make me take leave" I said muttering the last part and Akira laughed "It will probably be sooner knowing him" SHe said "True" I said "Anyway good luck with the child" Takizawa said going back to his work "Wait Yasha you said the café was called Anteiku right?" I nod "They're suspected of being a ghoul organisation" She said "What?" I stood up 'How'd they find out?' "Yeah Shinohara and Juuzou went to check it out" She said "But they're like my family there" I said "I know them and I know they aren't ghouls" I say trying not to yell "Yasha calm down." She passed me a tissue and I feel I'm crying "It's alright Yasha, When Shinohara comes back we'll know for sure" she said and I walked out "I'm sorry but I'm going to find Arima" I said walking out but I run right into Shinohara "Natsumi? Are you alright?" He asked "Are we going to be fighting my family?" I ask still crying "Who? That group of ghouls?" He said and I punched him and ran off. I ran and locked myself in the furthest bathroom and started to cry but and I called Anteiku

Bold Yasha Normal Yoshimura

"Hello Anteiku speaking" "Yoshimura san" "Yasha why are you crying? Did something happen?" "Get Hinami and Touka out of there. The CCG is going to attack Anteiku soon. I'm not sure when but it wont be too long away" "Thank you for letting us know but I have a question. Will you be fighting with us or the CCG?" "I'm sorry sir but I have no clue" "Its alright Natsumi san. We will respect your decision which ever side you chose to fight with and if you chose the CCG I'll tell the other not to harm you" "Thank you sir but I'm not even sure I want to fight this" "I know whatever you do will be the right decision for you. Don't let anyone chose for you" "Thank you Yoshimura san. I have to go before someone finds me" "Ok Natsumi san. Good luck"

I deleted the call in the log and just sat there crying until someone started banging on the stall door "Yasha open up!!" Arima yelled "No. I don't want my family to hurt my family" I yell at him "Open this door right now!" He yelled even louder "Leave Me Alone!!" I yell back still crying "They're innocent. THey haven't hurt anyone!! If anything they saved me. Multiple times!! If you fight them I'll never forgive you." I don't yell the last part but I just sit there and cry "Yasha they're ghouls, they will pay the price" He said "For what?! Trying to live! In that case if ghouls are that bad kill me!! I'm one so why would it matter!!" I yell. "I don't care who else is here. My secrets out I'm a ghoul!!" I scream and Arima broke the door down and his face was furious. I tried to move back and hide from him but I couldn't. I was scared and in shock my kagune was releases "Stay back!! I don't want to hurt you!!" I yell at him and he opened his quinque and pointed it at me "So you really want to kill me now?! I see. I though you truly loved me but as soon as I'm scared and my self-defence is opened you want to hurt me." I say crying "No that's not it" HE said "Then what is it? Why? I thought I new you. I though loving you would be special. I thought you wanted to protect me and keep me safe! All those moment where you helped me where fake then. I should of just gotten out of your grip and fallen to my death" I was crying and jump out of the window and just ran and ran. I didn't know where to go. I had no one to go to. I went to HySy because I knew they couldn't find me there. I opened the door and was greeted by Uta. "Please help me" I said. I was still crying but I didn't have my kagune anymore "Natsumi san ehat happened?" He came over to me and helped me to a seat "The CCG is going to attack Anteiku and don't wat my family hurt my family so I hid and told Yoshimura but Arima started yelling and broke the door down and I got scared and my kagune came out and he opened his quinque and pointed it at me and I yelled at him thinking he doesn't love me and that I should of just died this morning and.. and" I had to stop. I was crying to much "I'm scared. I don't know what to do. I couldn't go to Anteiku because they know I would be there. I didn't know what to do" I said crying and he held me in his arms "Natsumi. You have to chose what you're going to do. Will you go back to Arima and fight Anteiku? Are you going to go to Anteiku and fight Arima? Or are you going to run away from this all?" He said "I don't know. I don't know what I'm going to do?" He pushed my chin up. "How about I make you a mask and change your style and you chose from there." HE said and I nod "Ok lets do that" I say "I have an idea for your mask. Are you allergic to anything?" I shake my head "DO you want a full face or half?" "Full please" I said and he drew up a quick sketch. It was a black mask with Roses over the eyes and mini flowers overing the mouth "It looks beautiful" I say and he takes my measurements "Wonderful. Do you want me to cut your hair or dye it or something?" he asked "Could you put white strips in my hair?" I ask "I sure can" And I start to write a note for Arima

Dear Arima san

I'm sorry about the fight we had but I'm really hurt.
I still love you but it really hurts me to think of you.
I'm going to be leaving everyone for a while.
I'm going to be leaving Japan for a while and come back when I feel I can.
Don't forget that I truly love you and everyone else.
I'm sorry my love.

Yasha Natsumi

After Uta dyed my hair and finished the mask it was almost 11pm so I decided to make my way over the rooftops to my house and I opened my window and grabbed some clothes and photos but I knocked something over and Arima ran into my room and we looked each other in the eye. I grab my bag and he comes over to and I kiss him and drop the note for him "I love you Arima san" I said before leaving out the window and into the night.
