Natsu's equal and other half (Natsuxoc)

Part 5-First Mission

"Look... I just wanna say that... I'm sorry for insulting you yesterday, I really meant it to only be towards Natsu..." Gray said to Kai, with deep concern and regret.

"And you think admitting that  makes the situation better how?" Kai said back in annoyance and disbelief.

"W-Well, i-it's just that I like taunting him so much, besides, he's a pink haired idiot who only knows how to destroy stuff..." Hen admitted without a single care about what he said, only to receive a vicious glare from Kai.

"What... did... you... say?!"

"W-Well, it's true, isn't it?"

"... Not even close. Even though he seems like that. Natsu is the kindest, most understanding and funniest guy I've ever known. Know one has ever made me feel so valued before,  most men just look at me with perverted intentions, but he saw me as what I really am, a strong and confident mage, and... that itself, gave me even more confidence..." Kai admitted with a strong tone and a soft smile.

"...Yeah, I guess he is like that, isn't he?"

"Yep."

The both of them chuckled a bit, whilst looking at each other with warm and comforting smiles. Unbeknownst to them, Natsu was bubbling with rage at how nice they were interacting with each other, trying with all his willpower not to go over there and send Gray across all of Magnolia with a sucker punch to the jaw.

"Natsu... NATSU!" Lucy exclaimed, trying to catch the attention of the internally angered dragon slayer.

"W-What?" Natsu said, now paying attention.

"I was just wondering... what was Kai doing with your scarf earlier?" Lucy asked in a curious tone.

"Oh, well she made me stay at her place last night when I visited her, and I guess I might of accidentally left my scarf over there..."

"WHAT, but I thought you never leave your scarf, it was from Igneel!"

"W-Well, it m-must have c-come loose at some point, hehehe..." Natsu said, finishing in a nervous chuckle, as he most likely lost it in the morning when he was in Kai's bed.

"Oh, okay..."

"So let me guess... you came to her house uninvited and appeared out of nowhere, which made her want to kick you out?" She asked, considering her past experiences with the pink haired teen.

"Well first, I was technically invited after our fight. Second, she was actually okay with it since she could identify me thanks to her dragon senses. And third, she was actually very welcoming (unlike some people)..." He answered, leaving the last part a whisper.

"Really? Wow, I guess it's just a Dragon Slayer thing eh?" She said with a light chuckle, causing Natsu to join in the giggling and say "Guess so...", they thengiggled for a couple of minutes further.

Kai noticed the scene, and felt anger out of jealousy boiling inside just like Natsu earlier towards her and Gray.

Gray broke her focus by asking "So... am I forgiven?"

"... Yeah, sure."

They then hugged to seal the apology, thankfully with Gray wearing his clothes. It was a fairly affectionate hug, but little did they know that was the last straw to erupt the volcano of fury (literally).

Suddenly, a flaming fist comes into contact with Gray's face, sending him across the guild hall and into the wall.

"WHAT WAS THAT FOR FLAME PRICK?!"

"FOR BEING A PERVERT, THAT'S WHAT ICE PRICK!"

"TRYING TO START SOMETHING ASH BREATH?!"

"YEAH, YOUR DAILY BEATDOWN PERVY STRIPPER!"
