Natsu's equal and other half (Natsuxoc)

Part 3-The Fires of Intensity... and Love

Outside the guild, the two dragons of flames are filled greatly with adrenaline and anticipation, as their match will soon commence with Makarov himself acting as the referee. Everyone in the guild, even Laxus and Gildarts, all come out to watch this match unfold. Bets were made to see who would win, Lucy, Erza, Cana, Lisanna, Wendy, Gajeel, Carla and Pantherlily all betted on Natsu due to understanding his destructive capabilities and combat prowess. Everyone else placed their bets on Kai due to her possible having some unshown potential that could be greater than the oh so famous 'Salamander'.

When Natsu first noticed Happy bet against him, he responded by shouting "HAPPY, HOW COULD YOU BET AGAINST ME?!", which was replied back with a simple "This may be no different from when to try and fight Erza... besides..." Happy then leaned closer to Joy, who had a faint blush due to his closeness.

"I have my personal reasons..." He announced with a large lovestruck grin and Joy blushing even more.

"I bet Fire Retard won't even last a minute against her." said Gray out of the blue, being totally oblivious to the fact that he insulted both combatants.

"WHAT DID YOU SA-!" Natsu began, but before he could finish, an axe kick with a huge torrent of flames surrounding it knocked Gray down, both creating a crater and knocking him unconscious.

"MY BELOVED!" Juvia shouted with worry, as she ran towards Gray's unawake (and naked) form and tried to give him CPR, but due to sheer willpower, his unconscious state was able to push Juvia's mouth away from his own despite not being awake.

"DID YOU FORGET THAT I'M A SO CALLED 'FIRE RETARD' AS WELL, ICE PRINCESS?!!" Kai shouted, it was so loud that Gray was brought out of his coma, and was forced to look directly at Kai whilst shaking like he actually felt the cold.

Everyone who saw the display either now feared her with clear signs, or just tried to hide it, except for Natsu, who just thought "(Wow that was awesome, and actually... kinda hot.)" With a small blush after the last part.

With that out of the way, Makarov then shouted "Alright listen up, the match between Natsu Dragneel and Kai Emberly will now take place, let us see who's flame shines the brightest!"

With that, Natsu and Kai made the same motion of punching their open palms with fire spewing out.

"Aaannnnnd... BEGIN!"

With those last words, Natsu and Kai start charging at each other, first Natsu tries to deliver a punch to Kai's solar plexus, but she dodges at the last second, only to attempt a kick to his chest. Natsu easily blocks the assault with one hand, Natsu then lights his hand on fire making a fist as Kai does the same except with her hand open making a knife hand.

"FIRE DRAGON..." They shouted at the same time

"IRON FIST!"

"SWIFT CLAW!"

Both attacks come into direct contact with each other, cancelling each other out completely, leaving both fighters with a few scratches in certain areas. Natsu recovers first and charges directly at Kai, jumping high in the air and setting his foot ablaze. Kai responds to this by summoning fire to her knee that looked like a rising meteor.

"FIRE DRAGON..." Both shouted again

"TALONS!"

"METEOR SMASH!"

Both attacks once again completely cancelled each other out, the audience believed this to be more of a standstill, neither side winning as neither could be harmed by fire and could regain magic by eating each other's fire.

"You're not bad at all..." Natsu said

"Guess you're okay yourself..." Kai responded

"Hey, I have an idea... how about a mostly harmless wager?"
