Natsu's equal and other half (Natsuxoc)

Part 6-Conflict and Confession

After half  an hour of walking, they made it to the train station. Whilst Natsu was reluctant at first, Kai managed to persuade with a cute pleading act, causing the pink haired dragon to fall for the cuteness any agree to her wishes. Right now the pair were sitting in a booth all to themselves, with Natsu suffering from his trademark motion sickness, flopping around like a fish out of water and sitting opposite of Kai.

"Wow, you really have bad motion sickness, eh?" Kai asked, hoping to break the awkward silence.

"Yeah...well what's your excuse? You're a Dragon Slayer too!" Natsu responded, trying his best to not spill his guts out in great annoyance.

"Guess it just doesn't affect girls..."

"I (bleurgh)... hate you..."

"(Sniff)... you don't mean that, do you?" Kai asked in a fake sad tone with a few tears.

"... Alright, I'm sorry..." Natsu said, acting completely oblivious to the female's acting,

"Awww, don't be like that, you're really cute this way too..."

Now Natsu's face was a colour mixture of green and red. Green from his motion sickness, and red from the huge blush from the girl's comment.

After great amounts of constant teasing and motion sick shouts, the two wizards finally found themselves at their stop, with Natsu running out of the train immediately.

"Ground... (kiss) I've... (kiss) missed... (kiss) you!" Natsu exclaimed between kisses on the ground.

"(Wish he would kiss me like that)" Kai thought, with jealousy of the ground slightly leaking out.

The duo then started walking to the mayor's home, where they were greeted by the assistant, and then lead to waiting room to stay while waiting for the mayor.

"The mayor will now see you." The assistant said, causing the duo to enter the office.

What they saw was completely unexpected. Standing in front of them was a very attractive female brunette looking to be between her 20s and 30s, wearing a business woman's suit and glasses, with her hair reaching her midsection and freely flowing. Currently she was holding a notepad and pen.

"Hello, and welcome." She said, holding her arm out and gesturing at the chairs in front of her desk.

"Please, sit."

Both mages sat down, eager to hear what she had to say.

"As you both have informed by the request, our town is under threat of a powerful and newly announced dark guild... 'Vulture's Claw', who by their name, prey on the weak and defenceless. We were luckily able to send a message to ask for help as they only attack during the night, so in a couple of hours, they'll make an appearance, and we hope that you'll be ready for it."

"You can count on us!" Natsu responded with his usual toothy grin.

"Yeah!" Kai added, sporting a similar smile.

"Good, thank you so much!" The mayoress yelled, holding her hand out, which Natsu took to shake, making the female blush at the contact due to his great heat.

"You know... I wasn't expecting the great 'Salamander' of Fairy Tail to come to help. Honestly, I've always been a great fan of yo-" She began, leaning in closer to the pink haired mage, but was cut-off when Kai pulled Natsu away with a small killer aura and twitch in her left eye.

"So wait until nightime, gotcha, well bye!" Kai shouted as she left the room, dragging Natsu by his jacket across the floor despite his protests.

After leaving her office, the two went exploring the town, viewing all sorts of shops, cafes and street markets. It was all peaceful, until Natsu decided to break the silence with a question.
