"Dad, I thought you said you were a nerd," Aaron said, " then how come you are getting so many girls?" Aaron was suspicious.
"Yes, I was a nerd. But that doesn't mean I was from a different species, Aaron" I said sarcastically.
"I was rather good looking, if i say so myself" I said nodding my head.
"That's cool!" He said.
"I guess it was", I smiled.
"Well continue the story now!" Amy screamed from the side.
"Okay, so where was I?"
"Ugh, you were on the stairs..." she said.
"Oh yes!"I began.
The stairs led to a dimly lit hallway and had 2 rooms. One at the end and one on its side.
"Are you ok?" Alice asked me. Hell, I was.
"Yeah I am fine," I said.
Just as we reached the top of the flight. My eyes went straight to the end room where Jason and Sarah were. The door was slightly parted at an angle that the insides were visible from the other room.
"Here, let's go here," I said opening that door of the next room.
"Okay if you say so " she walked in as I held the door open. She had a shy smile on her face. The alcohol had made me a different person. I wasn't conscious all of a sudden. And to be honest, I liked being that guy.
We sat on the bed and I sat at the far end of it such that I could see the other room from the gap. I felt like the mattress was swallowing me up. Or maybe I was just getting a little tipsy. I don't know.
"So Adam," Alice said,"do you have any girlfriend?" Alice asked. It was kind of out-of-the-blue. No girl had ever asked me that before. I felt mixed feelings about it which can be broadly divided into two:
~Is she interested in me!?~
~If I tell her I have never had a girlfriend, would she judge me!?~
Well, the truth is the truth. There is no denying that.
"Nope. I actually have a tendency to repel girls" I said. I wasn't being humble by the way. I really repel girls.
Anytime I try to talk to a girl( in my sober self), it usually ends up with me making it so awkward that the girl just stays away from me (for the rest of her life). About a mile away.
So yeah, I wasn't kidding.
Though I was talking to Alice, my eyes went to the other room. I could see only part of the room and it seemed like the room was empty. There was no movement in there. Not even a sound! Weird.
"Haha. You haven't repelled me" she slid in closer to me on the bed.
What the hell did just happen! Am I in some kind of parallel world or something! That drink surely had something in it.
This can't be possible!
At that point, I was at a crossroad.
As far as I could see, there were 2 options available to me:
1. I forget about Sarah, who probably doesn't care shit about my existence on this planet. And concentrate on this mysterious girl who seems to have found me in some unknown way, attractive.
2. I storm out of this room and enter the other room. Stop whatever is happening. And Kick Jason's ass.
My brain was telling me to go for the first option. But my heart was adamant over the second. And well, the second one seemed good only hypothetically.
"Then you will be the first ever girl who is ineffective to my repulsive powers" did I just say that!
I tried to look at her face. The room was dim and the vibes were the same as those cheesy movies with highly exaggerated sex-scenes.
