The dream

I open my eyes but still see nothing. I struggle to move. I'm tied down. A bright light flashes. I can finally see it. A woman starts to talk but I can't hear anything. I try to scream but nothing comes out. I feel her warm hand touch me. She's saying something but I can't make it out.

A guy comes up to me with a smile on his face. He starts talking to me but I don't know what he is saying. Can't they see that? Their faces begin to become blurry. I see multiple symbols on the ceiling and walls. The guy grabs something from the table behind him and stabs me in my chest. He began cutting it open. I try to scream again but nothing comes out. Once he was done he starts to pull chains out of my chest. The pain was unbearable. Everything was starting to become black.

I open my eyes the pain was still there. I checked my chest the scar was there too but no blood. It must have been a dream. I couldn't have chains in my chest, could I?

"Good you're up."

I looked down to see Trisha already up. She was the only girl I cared for. I was never close with my mom and sister and every girl I talked to seemed to hate me so I never cared much for girls. Trish, on the other hand, cared for me. When I first joined times were hard. She was the only one brave enough to have my back. As many times as I pushed her away, she always stuck by me.

"Thanks for waiting for me."

"Anything for you but we are going to be in trouble.........again."

I looked at her with a confused expression.

"We are 15 minutes late I'm surprised he hasn't come in here to beat your ass. Plus you take forever to get ready I'm sure it will be over once we get there."

Shit today was the day we get put in our teams.

"By the look on your face I'm guessing you know he's going to kill you and you forgot."

"Why didn't you wake me up?"

"Because you were sleeping in a calm and cute way," she said in a teasing tone.

"Now come on let's go and take the punishment."

We were getting closer to the door and I began to get nervous. I look back at her. How could she be so damn calm about this?

"Since you look so terrified I'll go first."

She pushed me aside and opened the door. Everyone was quiet and staring at us. I was mad at the fact she thought she could just throw me to the side and take all the blame like it that scared.

"You guys don't have to stop and stare I know I'm sexy and all but please continue."

I didn't exactly know what I just said or thought about it enough before saying it but from the laughs and oh she's screwed I'm guessing it was funny and I'm gonna die.

"Scarlet!"

Here we go telling my name again and once again my face looks stupider than ever.

"Sit down somewhere I'll talk to you soon," he said through his teeth.

I sat beside a guy who I don't know but apparently he's a really good sniper. He was looking at me like he was confused yet surprised to see me.

"Great job by getting yourself a death sentence."

"Shut up Jeremy I wasn't thinking."

Jeremy is one of the closest people to me. We joined together and promised to die together. My dad and Jeremy were the only two people I had in the outside world.

"Like that's better," Trisha said rolling her eyes.

"Hey shut up it's your fault you didn't wake me, this is all your fault!"
