A hand shook me awake. I yawned and rubbed my eyes. From where the sun stood I could tell it was midday.
"I need you wide awake. We have to take a ship but not any ship."
"A ship? Why not a boat or something?"
"It would be easier for them if we got a boat. They could blow us up or something."
"They could blow us up if we have a ship" I mumbled.
"What?"
"Nothing. What ship do you have in mind?"
"I don't know anything about ships."
I stood and pushed him out the way.
"What about that one?"
He looked to where I pointed.
"No, it's slow."
"What you just said you don't know anything about ships. That one is smaller than the rest so shouldn't it be the fastest?"
"That's not always the case."
He grabs some of our bags and starts walking down to one of the ships. I pouted and leaned on the open Jeep door. Am I doing the right thing? I know I shouldn't second guess anything but how could I not? A part of me wants them to find us. Then I could be safe with Elias. He would be mad but more concern if anything. It feels like he is the only family I have left. Why can't I have a normal life and just leave Lunar? Or is that the easy way out? Someone once said, "the easy way out could be the only way out." But I don't remember who.
I took a deep breath. Why do I want to run away? That seems like my only option right now. I can't do this. Will they all hate me?
I heard seagulls out in the distance. They looked so free. A hand carelessly gripped my wrist.
"Now you second guess everything? We can't go back now only forward. I woke up Jeremy. Let's just get this over with."
Trisha started walking to Allen. She is right I always run away from everything. I need to do this for them. For me.
Taking the ship was easier than we had expected. No one was on and the keys were just laying around. We started heading towards Russia shortly after that. The water was calming but I would soon get sick of it. I remember looking at something that said how long it would take to get there. It said six to eight days but who knows it could have been wrong.
The sun was setting and I was getting tired once again and hungry. The ship didn't have much food left. Instead of eating I figure I need to sleep to past the time. I started thinking of all the horrid things that happened then I remembered calling out my brothers name.
"Blu!"
He was sitting alone looking up at the stars. I knew that but I asked anyway.
"What are you doing out here alone?"
He didn't say anything. I don't remember what he would have said to me. I hear him trying to answer my question but it sounds like his mouth was covered. I ran over to him to look at his face but nothing was there. I didn't know what he looked like. I stepped back and start to scream but a hand comes out instead. The demon slips out of my body. The black blood starts flowing out me.
The space I was in was now flooded with it. I saw something far in the distance. It was matte black with two horns and sharp claws. Looking in its eyes was like looking in pitch black holes. It felt like it was dragging me towards it. There was nothing in them. It came closer and I can see that it was taller than me. Its mouth was closed. All I can see were very long sharp teeth. The chest and the waist looked like a females body part. It looked like some sort of shell or costume.
