I was laying on a soft bed with warm thick covers around me. It didn't take me long to find out someone was sleeping next to me. Trisha's brown curls were spread out on the pillows. I sat up and rubbed my eyes. It looks like we were in a hotel room. Trisha sat up next to me and yawned.

"That storm was crazy."

"Storm?"

"Yeah, you don't remember?"

"I do I thought it was something else."

"Looked like a storm to me."

"So you didn't see anything else?"

"No did you?"

Maybe I should tell her. But if I do would she think I'm crazy?

She opened her mouth to ask something but I changed the subject.

"Who paid for this room?"

"I did."

"Of course."

"My dad gave me all this money and you think I won't spend it?"

Unlike the rest of our parents, Trisha parents didn't like the idea of her joining Lunar. She was only doing it for me. She wasn't staying for long. Her parents founded the whole project. Once the last test is over she was leaving to have a normal life. Something I would never have.

I smiled then asked, "where are the boys?"

"On the floor."

I looked on my side and saw both of them laying there. Jeremy was wrapped around Allen which kind of made me jealous.

"How long have we been here?"

"We got here last night but you were out a couple of days. Allen is trying to convince us to let you stay here and rest. Do you need to?"

"No, I'm fine."

"Are you sure? You might just um you know slow us down."

"Yes, I'm fine."

"Then what keeps happening to you?"

"Seasickness."

I smiled at her to let her know I was fine.

"Oh ok."

Changing the subject again I asked her "so does anyone have a plan on what are we gonna do?"

"No, sadly we were going to talk about it tonight. What is that raven doing here?"

She got up and started walking to where the bird was perched staring at me the window.

"No stop don't go near it."

She turned around and placed both hands on her hips.

"It's not going to kill me Scar calm down."

I wanted to go over there and pull her away from the thing but I couldn't move. I was too scared. At first, the bird didn't move when she waved her hand at it but eventually the moved away. It landed on a chair across from me. It was still looking at me. Trisha opened

the window near the bird and shooed it out.

"Somethings wrong with that bird."

She climbed back into bed and laid her head in my lap.

"This shit is scary. We might start a war. We might die. We might fail. We might not see our families again."

"Trisha."

"Mhmm."

"My dad died."

She tensed up then let out a sigh.
