We All Lost Someone

He didn't wake me for training did he forget? I sat up to see Trisha still sleeping. Maybe he lied and wanted to surprise us. No that didn't sound like him. While I was stretching I heard someone in the kitchen.

"Morning."

"Hey Allen," I said sitting in the chair on the other side of the table. "Where is Joseph?"

"I don't know. I figured you would know." He paused then said, "he never came back last night."

"Oh."

Without him here everything seemed so wired. 

"What is it?"

"Nothing it's just odd that he isn't here."

"Maybe they had a meeting or something?"

"Yeah, you're right."

I headed for the door. I'll ask the General I'm sure he knows where his son is.

He isn't here. That's strange. I heard General Shepherd's voice in the room down the hall in the room I accidentally walked in. I could never figure out why there were so many chairs. 

I walked in and saw him sitting at the head of the table and his brother on the right and a girl Woman on the left. Every seat was filled except three.

"The hell are you doing in here?" someone asked but I didn't know who.

All the eyes on me made me nervous. I slowly stepped back.

"No its fine we are finished here," General Shepherd said standing up. Scarlet "I'll meet you in my office."

"No, it's fine what I had to say wasn't important."

I turned around and almost walked into a tall guy with dark hair and ocean blue eyes.

"Woah sweetheart where you going in a hurry?"

"Sorry excuse me."

I tried to walk past him but he grabbed my waist. 

"Hey answer my question."

"Dayan let her go."

I turned around to see Joseph now standing.

"What little cousin?"

"You heard me."

He let me go and they both closed the space between them. 

"Seems like you have a little crush."

"No she is just on my team and you better show her respect next time you see her or I'll..."

"Hey quit it you two."

The woman who sat on the right the General broke them up. She was older and had brown hair.

"Come on Eva ever since his little sister died he all of a sudden grows the balls to step up? Hell no he isn't taking my spot."

Joseph clinched his fists. Then a guy with blonde hair stood.

"This is the reason why he is taking your spot now calm down brother."

"Calm down? How?"

"We all lost someone, Dayan. We can't get them back. I miss my brother too but he doesn't want us to act like this."

"Shut the hell up Eva you weren't there to see him off you where too busy whatever his name is."

"Are you serious?"

Tears start falling from her face. 

"I didn't know that was the last time I could see him you ass. I wish every day I could see him just one more time."
