Selena barges in the cafeteria, throws her bag at the table and harshly pulls the chair to sit. We all look at each other in confusion at her sudden dramatic entrance then travel our eyes to her. Julia gestures me to speak but I pass it to Amelia and then she passes to Julia. Now it's going to be endless. We three continue to do that long enough for Selena to see our weird interaction and she clears het throat.
"Why are you afraid of asking me? I am not going to bite your head off." she snaps at us. We jerk from our seat and look straight at her.
"Just ask, I know you want to." she adds calmly.
"What happened?" I gather the courage and ask.
She sighs heavily and replies. "Alexa is organizing a party. She said it is because of competition we won in summer but I know that isn't the reason. She wants people to know her and as self centered attention seeker bitch she is...she invites everyone. The point is, everyone's going like whole drama club and I being the president have to go there too cause if I don't then it will be bad and people will think I'm an egoistic bitch. So yeah I have to go but I don't want to."
"Fuck this is bad." Julia mutters.
"When's the party anyway?" Amelia asks.
Selena rubs the spot between her eyebrows and sighs. "It's on Friday."
"Make any excuse. Tell them you're sick and can't make it for the party." I suggest.
She shakes her head. "I can't make any excuses. I mean if I tell them I am sick, then on Friday I have to be in college. I can't take a leave. If I purposely make any excuse, Alexa is smart she will know I am doing it because I don't want to be in her stupid party and you guys know how desperate she is to be in my position." she isn't wrong. Alexa is just waiting for a day when Selena makes a mistake and she can be the president of drama club. Their drama Professor Elliot is an exact replica of Ms. Darbus. She worships her stage like it's everything to her. One mistake by anyone...they can say bye to anything related to Drama.
Last time a boy forgot his dialogue during performance and professor Elliot at the same time reached on stage and dismissed him from drama forever. He cried and begged her for a chance but she didn't take back her decision and eventually that boy has to say goodbye to drama. I know whatever happened was bad but I can't deny that...that drama was much more interesting than actual drama on stage. It was like first time in history someone forgot their dialogue under her. So after that she didn't even came to college for like a week and when she came. She became more strict and dangerous. That was the time when she chose Selena as the president for drama club.
"That's it we are going." Selena announces and we all look at her.
"We?" Julia questions.
"Yes we. We all four are going to party." she says.
"What! No." I reject.
"Exactly we are not going to any party." Amelia exclaims.
"But guys you are my friends. You have to help me. I can't possibly go there alone. I need moral support. I need you guys there. If you come I will surely survive the party without going to jail for Alexa's murder." Selena grits her teeth.
