I follow the path where Liam went. I know where he is going. When I first saw him outside I didn't see his car. So I know he just walked when he left me and I am literally praying to god that he didn't come here by his car. It would be difficult for me to follow him. I follow the turns and corners as I remember. I have known his apartment since the first time he brought me there. I know right now he is headed towards his apartment. I increase my pace and jog to catch up to him. I didn't see his traces but I know he is heading towards his apartment because that lake garden is further away. If he isn't going to his home then I might have to check that place. I stop and wait to cross the road, memories of that night when he yelled at me for not seeing my surroundings flooded in my mind.I might act like I don't care about you but I do. I notice everything. Every little thing which shouldn't be noticed at all according to you. His words from a few minutes ago echoes in my mind and I sigh. I was wrong. I was wrong all along. He might not show it but he cares for me. He does and right now he is angry because of me. I literally sigh loudly, the one where my whole body relaxes with it when I see Liam's back entering into the building. I run fast, my converse making noises on the road. I almost bump on the door but thank god someone opens it on time, saving me from a major embarrassing incident. I thank him and look towards the elevator. One just leaves and I take another, pressing his floor. I don't see if Liam takes the lift or stairs but I just hope I reach on time before he gets inside. I rush outside the elevator when it opens with a ding and I walk on the corridor towards his apartment. I see Liam entering inside and without thinking I yell his name.
“Liam. Wait.” his head jerks in my direction and I gulp, before slowly walking towards him. His blank face quickly wears an angry mask and in a flash he goes inside. My legs walk in time and I push open the door. He don't struggle to close the door on my face and I'm assuming it's because of my leg. If it wasn't in between the door he might have shut it.
“What the fuck are you doing here?” He barks before stumbling inside his hall. I follow him quietly, hoping his roommate isn't here. I never met him during my two time visit here and I don't want him during our fight.
“I—” I honestly don't know why I came here. “I come to talk.” I say and he laughs bitterly before flopping on his couch.
“Talk? What talk? Your stomach didn't get full after I said those things. You still want more.” he scoffs and turn on his TV. I stand awkwardly as he watches the screen, avoiding me completely. Just say something. You come to talk or not but you have to clear this coldness between you both.
“I am sorry—I understood you wrong...”
“You're not the only one.” He cuts me off and raised the volume of the TV. I stare at him for a second before walking towards him.
“I don't know about others but I know in my case you weren't wrong. I was. I thought of a different reason behind your absence but Liam, please talk to me. Whatever you said outside...”
