Emily's POV
The hidden shortcut I had decided to use was looking nothing like a road unlike the last time i saw it. As I kept moving, the trees began to look a bit thIcker than usual as I if I were entering a forest or something. I turned off the sound system and paid much more attention to the road since I was expecting a sharp turn a few metres away.
It wasn't there. I kept driving down this road but I couldn't notice any turn coming my way. The area seemed very quiet as I kept moving. All of a sudden, my car engine went off. And it looked like fumes were coming from the engine. Confused and terrified, I walked my way to check on the engine knowing my little knowledge on cars.
Just as I was examining the car's engine, I felt someone press his hand over my nose and mouth with some sort of a tissue. I tried screaming but was in vain. I struggled but that didnt bother the person. He kept his strong grip for a few more seconds until I could feel my head spinning round and my eyes became a little drousy. I fell to the ground with a loud thud which sent shockwaves to my brain. Through my blurred vision, I noticed the man tying my legs with a very thick rope but my eyes couldn't keep open for any longer. The darkness at the corners of my vision slowly covered as I completely passed out.
Sam's POV
Mitchel seemed to be healing very well, although I still dont know what reallly happened to him last night. A minute never passed by without him asking me what Max, the black wolves alpha, was doing here. I kept ignoring his eager questions since I received a strict instruction from Leah not to tell him anything until she arrived.
After a short silence, I noticed he was thinking of asking again but I backfired with a question Iwas itching to ask just before he could speak. "'What's that on your left arm?" I asked pointing at the strange markings on his arm
He closely examined his left arm in complete shock and that made me assume that he had no idea what it was. "Ugh!" He screamed in agonizing pain making me jump a little. "What is that?" He continued looking rather shocked.
"I have no idea. Wait! Look! It's disappearing." I exclaimed noticing the mark slowly diffuse into thin air. "Oh well, at least the pain is gone now" Mitchel said as the corners of his mouth shifted into a very huge but awkward grin.
The bell rang and before I knew it I could hear voices coming from the reception area. Ithought it was just going to be Leah, not the whole pack house!
I walked into the reception and had everyone scream my name in some sort of unism before returning back to their conversations. There must have beenabout twenty people in my little reception and you could tell they weren't normal since the dogs in the store kept barking. That could have been the obvious giveaway for any customer. I looked through the room but there seemed to be no sign of Leah anywhere.
"Sam!" I heard Jasper call.
"Hey, um. Where's Leah?" i asked
"Oh she's in the car. Probably on her way to the door right now." He stated right at the instant where the door opened up and the room became very silent. They all kepttheir handscovering their ears as if they were hearing something very loud. Might have been Leah ust trying to control them.
"Wow. I actually thought it was a party" She stated looking in my direction
"Welcome Leah."
"Well you can all leave now, Mitchel is okay." She loudly said to the hearing of everyone
"I wanna see him first, Leah" Judy replied with her typical charisma before everyone shouted in agreement to Judy.
"Oh my God, this girl can be a handful at times." Leah whispered to me. I nodded in total agreement.
