Mitchel's POV

"She's gone. She's dead. The alpha is dead. The pack will follow. She's gone... she's gone..she's.."

Those words kept echoing in my head. It was piercing. It made me sober. I  felt lost. I lay in my bed breathing but motionless. I was being haunted by what had just happened some hours ago.

I thought, I cursed, I cried.

It shouldn't have been like this. I should have been there earlier. It was my fault. Allthough i know exactly what happened since i was right there, whenever I try to remember it's blurred in my mind. I remember Max slashing mother's throat out. I remember noticing Jackson's silhouette in the window on the other side of where it all happened. He just stood there, watching. He watched until he noticed me staring at him and walked away from the window.

I remember falling unto the ground the moment I heard mother's last wimper before she gave up her last breath. "No!" Seth screamed when he noticed Max walking slowly in my direction. I remember being rescued by Sam just before Max could get any closer. He helped me off the ground and hastily rushed me to the backseat of his car.

I do not remember anything that happened after that. I don't have any idea how everyone is or how long it's been since the incident.  I can't remember. But according to my own personal diagnosis, I came to the conclusion that I probably blacked out in the car drive back to the pack house.

Reaching for my back pocket, I grabbed my phone and texted Dylan. I'm sure he would have been worried sick but I realized that he had already sent me like a dozen messages and some calls from both him and an unknown number. It might probably be those wee little twerps who keep prankcalling every least chance they get. Taking my time, I read every single one. The last one however did mention that he was in the pack house and had full knowledge of what had happened.

Emily.

I didn't hear from her ever since I heard her cry. That could probably mean that she's...no! Uh-uh. I was not going to start filling my head with useless negative thoughts. She's probably okay, I just have to find out where she is but for now I've got to check in on everyone.

I hopped off the bed and walked towards the door.

Rachel's POV

On my way to the hair salon. The prom is coming up this Friday and I needed to book an appointment. I know I'm known for my selfishness and totally unconcerned towards others but in this case its my best friend in the entire world who has actually been missing for about two days now. I was freaking out that moment. But then a few hours ago I got a call from an unknown number. Feeling both frightened and curious, I answered my phone only to hear whispering,

"Rachel! Rachel! Thank God you answered. I've been calling every freaking number I know but no answer," I heard a shaking voice say to me.

"Emily? Emily! Oh it's you. You don't know how relieved I am to.."

"Rachel! This is not time for catching up. I've been kidnapped. I do not know where I am. The guys who kidnapped me think I'm unconcious and have left me alone in the room. Luckily, I was able to slip out of the guy's phones from his pocket. Listen carefully, i do not know where the hell I am. But it seems like I'm in an atic of some kind. It's pretty dark. These guys here want Mitchel and his family dead. Seriously. Warn them before..."

"HEY! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" I heard someone shout in the background before there were sounds of the phone probably being thrown away. There was some serious noise going on in there.

"RACHEL! FIND MITCHEL." Emily screamed. Guessing by her tone she was probably being dragged out of the room before I finally lost the line.

I've got to turn around. Fortuanately Mitchel's house is just a mile away from here. Need to get there soon.
