Max's POV
Everything was going according to plan, I had the young wolf right where I always wanted him and right now, I'm just waiting for when I could finally..
"Max! Max!" I heard some of my packmates yelling from the front door. "We found her, we found the girl."
"Bring her in." I demanded feeling even more content with the current happenings.
A heavy looking sac was dragged in by two of my brothers, Luke and Elijah. They were my betas, my most trustworthy companions. I never go anywhere without them although they can be quite annoying at times.
The sac looked rather odd since there wasn't any motion from the inside.
"Is she dead?" I asked hoping for a negative reply.
"Well, not technically. We sedated her with some wolfsbane and mistletoe. She wouldn't be awake anytime soon." Luke answered looking rather happy with their actions.
"What?! Fools! I hope you know that even though she might be the mate of a werewolf doesn't mean she's totally immune to mistletoe. If she hasn't socialized with any of our kind in less that twenty four hours ago, she is not going to survive.."
"Oh, damn." Luke said in total regret.
Mitchel's POV
"UGHHH!!"
I screamed as I tumbled to the ground in agonizing pain while gripping my left arm where the scar was. Sam rushed back to my aid.
"What is wrong with me, Sam?" I managed to say while still in pain.
"Say SOMETHING!!"
"I don't know, I just do not know okay. I haven't experienced anything like this in my entire life"
I knew that really meant a long time because emissaries have a never ending life span until they're entire pack has been destroyed. And apparently our clan has been around for centuries so he's not technically just an ordinary middle aged doctor.
My left arm began to increase in temperature, the pulses kept pumping uncontrollably, my head was responding to this by pumping back some serious aches which eventually knocked me out cold. Lying on the ground motionless, helpless.
* * *
"Help. Anyone, help!"
A faint voice echoed in my head while I was in oblivion. Listening a little harder, I tried to see if I could recognize the voice.
"Mum? Jackson! Someone please..?"
Still finding it difficult, I let out a huge sigh of defeat before my wolf whispered..
"Emily.."
Dylan's POV
Saturday afternoon, still no sign of Emily. Jackson and I have been going round asking questions, just to find something, anything that could lead us to her. I got a text from Mitchel a few hours ago, he's fine. He also mentioned that I shouldn't let anyone know that he ever texted me. I texted him back hoping for a reply but there wasn't any. I wanted to tell him about Emily disappearing last night but I decided not to. He's probably got a lot on his mind and this will just ruin everything. He will eventually find out but until then he will get to enjoy his peace of mind.
Well now I'm riding with Jackson in his Porche and the look on his face kind of ticks me off. Come on! Where's the bigbad ass jock? His face just displays total confusion, anxiety, and a weebitof depression.
