"Let's go let's go let's go!" Lisa hollered from the back. She and Hoseok had been bouncing non-stop ever since the trip started.
After renting a van to fit in the whole eight of them, Jennie had taken over the driving because she was still mad with the boys for barging into their villa unannounced. The roads were thankfully quite empty of vehicles but Jennie still had to pay attention to the dense foliage spilling out unto the road.
"I'm hungry!"
"Chu we just had breakfast!" Jennie said exasperated.
"Oh she usually has two breakfasts before she leaves for work, like hobbits do," Jin explained, "but since you guys were in a hurry I couldn't prepare--"
"I'm hungry too," Chaeyoung announced, nibbling on her thumbnail. Jimin lightly slapped her hand away.
"I'm so hungry!" Lisa cried. "Please give me food, some fooooood!"
"And we've already passed two 7/11 stores!" Hoseok pointed out, "Jen, don't you think we should at least do a quick pit stop?"
"Oh Lord," Jennie groaned, "shut up you punks, before I murder you all!"
"Where are you gonna hide our bodies? I'm a Buddhist, you can't just throw me to the side and keep on driving!"
"I'll throw you to the sharks if that will make you happy!"
"Honey, what are you gonna do if we have those kids we talked about then?" Yoongi asked.
He grinned over Lisa and Jisoo's chanting of 'Food glorious food'. "Kids are pretty high-maintenance, you know."
"Never fear," Jennie assured, as she swerved to overtake a pickup truck loaded with greens, "our kids will be perfect angels compared to these annoying brats, just you wait."
She swerved again and everyone groaned, holding on to their seats. Chaeyoung felt her stomach heave.
"It's not too late to ask again hyung," Jimin whispered to Yoongi but the other man shook his head miserably as he glanced at the back of the driver's seat.
"She said it's payback for waking her up like that," he replied in a glum voice, "and believe me, this is more bearable than no s--"
"I think I'm not feeling hungry anymore," Lisa called.
"Good, my plan's working then," Jennie said grimly as they trundled towards their destination, "and jeez, you all act like I'm so bad at driving!
"Honey no you're amazing it's just that--"
"Yoongi it's no use trying to suck up to me, shut up and sit back and think about what you've done. Now as I was saying, if y'all think I'm bad, you should've seen Lisa drive when I was teaching her back in Uni."
"Hey, I was a rookie okay?"
"Well I was teaching Jisoo too at that time as well, and you were...how shall I phrase this nicely? Abominable. Abyssmal. Awful."
"You taught them how to drive?" Chaeyoung asked, stung.
"Oh yeah we used to go around that municipal dump and just waste my petrol allowance like that. Lisa was always too excited to drive properly, the engine knocked all the time..."
"I see..." Chaeyoung fell quiet, digesting this information.
Just how much had she missed while she had been dating Jungkook?
Someone tapped her knee and she looked up. Lisa's bright smile greeted her.
"I can teach you now Chaeyoungie," she said enthusiastically,"I got my license--"
