"Oh, where's Jimin gone?" Chen asked the moment they entered.

Chanyeol sat in his leather chair facing the window. His arm dangled idly over the armrest and from his fingers hung a silver locket, swaying gently.

"He has something to take care of," Chanyeol said absently, stroking his chin. "He won't be coming back again today."

"Okay?" Baekhyun glanced at Chen in confusion. The others however, seemed to understand Chanyeol's comment, nodding along to his words.

"Um...are we in trouble?" Baekhyun asked urgently in a whisper.

"Not sure, I didn't get any memo," Chen whispered back worriedly.

"You didn't eat the boss's tuna sandwich again did you?"

"No. Did you play around with the boss's dumbbells again?"

"No I didn't--"

"Guys, reeeeelax."

Chanyeol swivelled to face them, smirking. "Something came up unexpectedly and my dearest brother simply had to leave to deal with it. I advised him to take care of it immediately, since the sooner the errand's completed, the better."

"And what's the errand exactly? Or is it too top-secret for us to know?" Chen inquired, eyeing Sehun's dour face and Kai's usual blank expression. "Does everybody but Baek and I knows?"

Chanyeol winked before his attention diverted to the locket which he now dangled in front of his eyes, watching the pendant twirl. The engraved letters P.C. came into view and Chanyeol cackled low in his throat.

"Oh don't worry, you'll know soon enough..."

His eyes gleamed just as brightly as the pendant reflecting in his pupils.

Soon enough.

Chaeyoung knew something was up when she saw Jimin's motorbike parked outside their condo.

She wasn't entirely sure she was comfortable with the idea of Jimin zooming around on busy roads ("you could get in an accident," she'd say fearfully) but hearing him describe the joy and power it gave him when he was driving made her accept that it was here to stay.

(Hoseok had come over at one time to see the machine for himself. They spent a whole afternoon tinkering and generally admiring the sleek machine.)

And anyways, although she had been completely petrified the first time he wanted to take her driving a week ago (she marched out to buy them a pair of heavy duty helmets before the ride) she had to admit she enjoyed the thrill and speed as much as he did.

She entered the flat silently, pacing her breathing in an attempt to settle her rising heartbeat.

Why was Jimin home earlier than she was?

Maybe he was trying to win more time to spend together after work?

That's so sweet of him!

She gave a little shiver of happiness at the thought of cuddling up with him: his hugs were always  welcome after a tiring day of work. He also listened patiently to her rants, soothing her with kisses or little teasing jabs and she reciprocated with the same treatment.

She heard distinct mumbling coming from the kitchen area and softly padded towards his voice.

Jimin was pacing back and forth in the small space between the oven and the fridge, eyes glued to his phone and muttering under his breath.
