"Honestly what's the problem here?" Lisa wondered out loud, "so you met one of Jimin's psycho exes. Big deal. You're no stranger to crazy exes yourself Chaey, I mean look at Jungkook--"

"Can we not bring that psychopath into this conversation please?" Jennie said tersely, drumming her fingers on the rough table-top.

"Well if you're going to be more specific, he was more of a sociopath, rather than psychopath," Jisoo mused, "a psychopath would be highly volatile and erratic in behaviour, while a sociopath would be more--"

"Same difference, they're both crazy psychos--"

Chaeyoung cleared her throat, causing her friends to turn back to her, anxious. They were currently sitting in a beach bar, sipping on mocktails.

The boys had gone to check one of the huts that housed the jetskis out on the beach itself some distance away.

Or rather, Jin and Yoongi had unanimously dragged out the other boys, leaving the girls to hold an emergency discussion. Chaeyoung suspected the unnies had tactically roped in their partners for this endeavour.

"There's no problem as such, Lis," Chaeyoung began, "it's just...me being a brat..."

"Don't you dare!" Jennie pounced on her, "you have every right to be upset! Who wouldn't be? Why, if I had been there, I would have probably killed this Momo person on the spot. She sounds like the brat to me, not you."

"Amen to that," Lisa muttered, sipping half-heartedly. "Who kisses an ex boyfriend when she's supposedly taken, just to get back at him or whatever she said? That's so childish and crass. Honestly, she sounds fishy to me. Should we believe that she knew Jimin? He didn't even remember her."

Chaeyoung's heart clenched at the memory of Momo kissing Jimin, right in front of everyone. A wave of bitterness washed over her at the realisation that Jimin had probably kissed other girls before her, and even slept with them, if that woman were to be believed.

Jealousy

It nagged at her, making her ball her fist trying to shake off images of Jimin laid back against a mountain of money with a champagne glass in hand, as scores of scantily-clad women frolicked and touched him all over, and he laughed.

No, her Jimin wasn't some canoodling playboy.

At least, not now...

"....and I think her family owns Hirai Motors in Japan," Jisoo was saying. "My dad did business with them in the past, they're quite big hotshots in Japan, but that's about it.

I don't think her family is one to mingle with non-business people so I think what Momo said has an inkling of truth--Jimin must have been some prestigious businessman for her to associate with him. Probably there had been some arranged marriage in the works too..."

"But if he were top of the business circles as you're saying, doesn't that mean somebody should have looked for him?" Lisa countered. "I think you're all blowing this out of proportion. And besides, Jimin is different now. He loves Chaeyoung, any idiot can see that. End of discussion."

"That's not the point here!" Jennie snapped. "What if he reverts to his former self? What if he decides he's tired of Chaeyoung and just goes back to his previous lifestyle if he ever finds out about his past? He didn't exactly sound like he fitted in the dictionary definition of 'faithful'."

"Are you gonna take a stranger's word over Jimin's promise to take care of Chaeyoung?" Lisa said disdainfully. "Really unnie? I thought you were better than this."
