I decided to go to the military. I know, women aren't allowed to go there. But I really want to help the world, help my country, keep me and the worlds freedom. I want to make this world save again for my little siblings, I don't want them to live in fear.
After all, I really thought about that idea, I just have to explain it to my parents.

It was 8pm when dinner was ready. Me and my tree siblings came down to get dinner. Each one sat down on their usual seat. Everyone grabed dinner when I dropped the news. "I wanna go to the military." Everyone stopped immediately and stared at me. "What?" Is the first word my Mom said. "Are you serious?" "Yeah Mom I wanna help stop this war, stop the pain and misery in this world." Was my answer. "No absolutely not. I don't want you to go there." "But Mom.." "No, no discussion!" At that word I stood up and walked up to my room that I shared with my two years younger sister Olivia.

As I was about to sat down, I heard someone knocking on my door. "Go away!" I yelled. But it wasn't my mom, as I expected, it was my Dad. He looked trough the gap of the door. "Can I come in?" I didn't said anything so my dad saw it as a sign to come in. He sat down on the opposite of me, the bed of my sister.
"I wanted to talk to you about your idea." "So you wanna tell me the same as Mom, that I shouldn't do it." I said with anger in my voice. "No, that's not why I'm here. I wanted to tell you, that I think you should go there. I think you're brave and a very strong, confident young lady. And that you could totally rock this." I stared at him in disbelief. "Are you serious?" I asked. "I totally am. I love that you want to help the world. That you want to fight for our freedom." "Oh my god, thank you Dad!" I said as I ran to him to hug him tightly. "I Love you, Dad." "Love you too, princess ." I smiled at him.

On the next day I contacted a registration office. As I was walking in my heart started pounded very fast. I can do that, I can do that.. was what I kept saying to myself. I landed at the reception. "Excuse me?" I asked, the man looked up from his papers. "Oh the secretarys office is right down the hall on your left." He quickly respond. „That's not why I'm here, I would like to report as a soldier." He just looked at me in disbelief. "Women can't report as soldiers." "Well, I know but can I try?" "Well, I can try to call the Marshall." "That would be great, thank you." So I sat down on a chair and waited. I waited for a whole one and a half hour, when the man from the reception walked up to me. I immediately stand up. "The Marshall is waiting for you. Please follow me to his office." So I walked with him to the office.

I knocked on the door, and waited for a signal. "Come in." I heard a low voice. I opened the door and an older man looked at me. "Ah, you must be the women that want to sign in as a soldier. So this wasn't a joke?" He said to the soldier behind me. "What's your name?" He asked me this time. "Evangeline Jennar" "General Chester Phillips" He introduces himself. "So tell me, why should I report a women as a soldier?" "Well, as you may here before. I don't like the Nazis. But I'm not here to tell you that they should die. I am not here to kill anyone. I just want to protect our freedom. It's important for our world, if we don't keep it, peace will forever be a dream. I don't want a world of fear for the younger generation, for my sibling. They need their childhood, not war." He looked at me impressed. "Well I'm impressed, but sorry but I can't help you." I just nodded. "But I have an alternative for you." I looked at him in hope.

"A secretary?!" I asked indignantly. "That the only think we can give you." "I will think about it." I said. "Okay, you have til tomorrow. See you then." He said, walking away. I just walked back home, and told the bad news to my parents.

"Hey, princess. How did  it went?" My Dad yelled from the garden, where my whole family sat and enjoyed the beautiful sunny day. The twins, Louis and Stephan played football and my sister and parents focused on me. "Well..." I started and sat down. "They just offered me a job as a secretary." "That's great sweetie. Better than the whole soldier plan." My Mom said happy. "You don't get it do you? How could I help the world when I sit behinds a table and do paperwork all day?" I stared yelling at her. "There is alway one who need to do this kind of work." My mom answered. "Are you kidding? This is a joke. You must be kidding. Do you even take me serious?" I yelled at her. "Don't you dare talking to me like that!" My mom yelled. I stood up and walked inside.

A few moment later my dad came to me inside to the kitchen. "Princess, listen. I know it's hard to be rejected. But see the bright side of it. You help as well, maybe not the way you'd like, but it's something." He said and gave me a kiss on the cheek. And walked away. I thought about it for a time, and decided to take the job.

On the next morning I made my way down stairs. "Morning, princess. Did you made your choice?" "Oh yeah." I smiled to him.

"General Phillips?" He turned around. "I'm in." He took my hand and shook it. "Welcome to the U.S military!"
