Bucky's POV
A few days have passed since Evangeline died. We had a small intim funeral, where we gave her a memorial, back in London.
Today I was on my way to her family back in New Jersey. I wore my former Military uniform.I knocked onto the door and waited until a small, little boy opened the door. He looked up at me and yelled for his father. "What is it Louis?" He asked, but immediately saw me. "Mr. Jennar?" I asked. And he nodded.
"I have some bad news for you." I stared, but he pleased me to come inside.I sat at their dinner table and told them, about the dead of her daughter. I could barely tell them. The mother broke down in tears. Her husband took her into his arms. "This is the only thing that was left of her." I said and handed the father, Evangeline's chain. He took it and thanked me.
I stood them, to give them their own time to handle it. I closed the door behind me and made my way back. I placed my hands into my pants pocket and made my way back to the car, that I used to get here.
My heart Shattered at the sight of Evangeline's family. Their whole is falling apart right now and all they have left, from her is the chain. Nothing else. And even tho I shouldn't, I felt guilty coming up.
The guilt of her dead. Guilt that I couldn't protect her properly. Guilt that I wasn't there for her. And most painfully of them all, not being able to tell her, that I loved her.
