Today's the day! I got into my uniform and walked up to the mirror. I slipped over the uniform and stared at me in the mirror. "You look beautiful, princess." My Dad appeared at the door. "Thank you, Dad." I smiled to him trough the mirror. " Yeah, you look like a professional." My sister Olivia told me, from her bed. "Thank you, Liv." I smiled at her. I glanced at the watch. It's 15 minutes before 8am. "Oh my god, I need to go." I said running out of my room. "Good luck." Yelled everyone out of the door. I swung myself onto my bike. "Thanks!" I yelled back and waved.
I got to the office just in time. I walked into General Phillips. "Oh I'm sorry." I excused myself. "So Ms. Jennar, this will be your work table. You can put photos of your family or something up there. Make yourself feel like home." Said the Head of the Département, Mr. Cull. "Thank you." I sat down and made me familiar with my new environment.
A few minutes later came the General back with another man. "Can I introduce you to Howard Stark. He is our machine builder." "Nice to meet you." He gave me his hand, I took it and he bowed down and kissed the back of my hand."Nice to meet you too." I said smiling to him, I might as well blushed a little bit."Okay, enough. Back to work." Commanded the General. "Ai, ai, Captain." Said Howard Stark and smiled back at me.
I dedicated myself back to work.My work day, consisted of receiving phone calls and pass it to the General. Also arranging files and a lot of paper work. Sometimes I need to organize appointments or cancel them.
I always had to start at 8am in the morning, till 5pm in the evening. Something like normal 9 to 5 jobs. It's was a normal work day today. I work here for two months now, when the General came up to me. "Mrs. Jennar, can you please come into my office." I stood up and followed him inside. "What is it?" I asked. "You work here now for two months and you do your job really great." I smiled at this complement. He stood up from his chair, "I want you to come with me to London." He said and leans against the table. Wait what. "Excuse me?" I asked confused. "Yeah we have a project going on over there and they need my attendance." He was about to go when he turned around again. "I would like if you came along." He said honest. "Think about it for a night or two." He said and sat down again.
At 6pm I was home. My Mom was about to cook dinner and my Dad sat at the dining table and read the news paper. I walked into the kitchen and greeted my parents. "How was your day, honey?" Asked my Mom. „It was great, but I need to talk to you about something." I started. "Are you fired? Oh honey I'm so sorry, I know it's hard but-" "Mom, stop I wasn't fired. No I was asked if I would come along with the General, to London." My Dad looked up from his newspaper and laid them down. "Why?" He asked. "Well, his attendance is required and he wanted that I come along. As some kind of assistant." "No you're not going!" My Mom determined. "Theresa, I know you don't want her to leave, you want her Home and safe, but she is an adult now, she can make her own decisions." My Dad claimed to his Wife. She just looked at me. "What do you want Evangeline?" She asked me. "To be honest, I would go. That's a step further to help the people." I said confident. "Then you should go." My Dad said determined. "Fine!" Said Mom took of her apron, threw it on the chair and walked out of the kitchen. We followed her action, and looked at each other. My Das stood up and followed her. "I will talk to her." He just said to me when he walked away.
I was laying in my bed and read my book when someone on my door. "Come in!" I yelled. "Hey Honey." My Mom came into the room. I sat up and my mom sat in front of me. "I just wanted to tell you, that I'm not mad at you and I am going to support you." She said smiling slightly at me. "Thank you Mom." I said and hugged her tightly. At that moment my two Twin brothers came in. "Is this true?" Louis the older one said to me. "Are you going to leave us?" The younger one, Stephan, asked me. "It's true." I said looking at them. "Why?" Louis asked. "Listen, I want to help. I want this shitty war to end. I want to keep our freedom. And for that we all have to sacrifice something. I give my life here up, but that doesn't mean that I don't love you. I will miss you all very much." I explained . "You said shit." Stephan laughed. I playfully rolled my eyes at that and rubbed trough his hair. At that point all of my family members, Olivia, Dad, the twins and Mom where standing or sitting in the room. "We will miss you too." Louis said to me. I stood up and hugged all of them.
When everyone left I went to sleep. When I got to work the next morning, I told the General that I would come with him. And he told me we would meet at the airport at 8 am on Wednesday, today is Thursday so I have like an evening to pack my bags.
So immediately when I came home from
Work, I started packing my bags and everything I want to bring to the UK.
My Dad drove me the whole way to the military airport. I said goodbye from him and told him to greet the rest of the family. It was very emotional and even me had tears in my eyes. When I needed to go onto the plane, I hugged my dad. "I'm so proud of you." He whispered into my ear during the hug. I smiled up at him with some tears in my eyes. "I need to go." I finally said, when the General yelled for me. I took my bag and walked away. "We will see us soon! I love you!" He yelled to me. I just looked back at him and waved.
We got on the plane and the plane started rolling. This was the first time flying, so I was pretty nervous. After 8 and a half hours later we landed in London.
We were greeted by a Agent called Peggy Carter. I was impressed, because she is a very confident women and she seems like she knows what she wants. So we drove with her to the head quarter. And I couldn't believe my eyes. What I saw there broke my expectations.
