I woke up, by the sound of birds twitching. Everyone else was still asleep at my tent, so I stood up and went outside. I took my water bottle and took a sip, I took a seat at the burned out fireplace. The sun was about to rise, so there was not much light around here. After a while of sitting on a branch, someone came out of the tent again. It was Cap. "Morning." He groans. "Morning." I said back. "Short night?" He asked me. "Yeah, couldn't Hey  sleep anymore. But seems like you neither." I noticed. He just nodded. He took a seat next to me. "You know Bucky talks about you nonstop." He revealed. I looked up to him. "Ya, I'm not kidding." He laughed. "But- I mean, Well, why?" I asked him. "Well, I don't know. You have to talk to him." He said and twitched his shoulders.
At that exact moment Barnes cape out. "Why are you so loud?" He asked and rubbed his eyes. Cap just laughed and stood up. "I will get the stuff ready." He said and left.
"What's up with him?" He asked and looked at me, laughing.
"Probably Nothing." Laughing as well.

We started talking about random stuff. Until the others awoke. Barnes suddenly stood up and took a seat at the other side of the fire. We ate some breakfast. When Cap joined us again. "Okay Howling Commando, we're going to leave in 10 minutes. We're going for a foot trip for about 20 miles, so pack enough rations." He explained. Everyone understood and stood up, to get their stuff together.

I took my shotgun and went to Cap. He closed a little box and turned his head towards me. "Ready?" He asked me. "Yes, Captain!" I said and saluted, laughing. He laughed as well. "Please never do that again." He exclaimed. "How does the plan look like?" I asked him. "Well my plan is to, sneak into the base, quiet and invisible." He explained to me. "And how are we going to do that?" "Well I thought we're going to use the back door." He showed me a small door on a map. "It looks like this little door has no, security guards. As much as our spies found out." "Sounds good." Jones exclaimed and joined us. The other joined us shortly.

The walk took us 4 hours, but we eventually found the Hydra base. We walked through a small village, that was pretty old and pretty, no living soul was to be seen. This town seems abandoned. I took one closer look one of the small houses. This house looked like the owners left in a rush, it was a little bit chaotic and messy. The calendar on the wall said April 1942. Just about a year ago. I got into another room and found what looked like a child's room. It had a little doll on the bed. I walked towards it and took it. It was full with dust, so I blew it. I walked outside again to the others, with the doll in my hand. "Found a little you to play with, Jennar?" Dernier laughed. I ignored him and walked towards Cap. "This town is abandoned. No living humans, also no corpses." I told him and handed him the doll. He looked at it and look down at me. "So they left on their own, but why?" He asked himself.

In exact this moment a Hydra patrol came up, behind a few houses. We looked at each other and everyone ran inside of these abandoned houses. I took the one on my left and closed the door behind me. I got to one of the small windows and pecked outside. I looked for the others and saw Barnes and Dugan in the house in front of mine. He saw me and nodded, I nodded back, when suddenly the patrol walked by us. "Another day, another patrol. Why do we keep having to do that?" One of them complains. "Quiet, I think I heard something." One of them noticed.
And I heard it too. It was in one of the houses on the far right, two houses apart from Barnes, hiding spot.

The soldiers went up to it and opened the door, walking inside. I got up and walked outside, as well as Barnes and Dugan did. "Jones and Falsworth are in this house." Dugan exclaimed. I took my shotgun and walked up to it. "Jennar What do you think your doing?" Barnes asked me and followed me. "We can't just let them walk into death. They don't deserve that." I turned around and faced him.
"Then let me at least help you. I don't want to lose you as well." I nodded and we three sneaked in there.

Dugan looked for them on the ground floor. Barnes and me walked upstairs. "You go watch here, I'm going to the second floor." He whispered to me and I nodded. I held my shotgun in front of me and walked into the first room, on my right. I slowly opened the door, right after it opened I held my gun in front of me. My finger resting on the trigger, just in case. It was a bathroom, but no one was in there. Small and slow steps carried me over the floor, to be as quiet as possible. I searched the whole room but couldn't find them. Walking outside again, I watched both side first, to make sure the floor is free. Slowly walking to the next door, this was actually just a wardrobe for towels and other stuff. The next door was a small guest bedroom.

I walked inside. I looked to my left and to my right, but everything was fine. I wanted to walk to the bed, when I suddenly heard the pull of a gun behind me.
