"We have to get over it sometime, Quinn."A sigh escaped Quinn's mouth at Santana's (rude) comment, but she let it go. Ever since Rachel's... attempt, these comments weren't a rare occasion. The cheerleader seemed to be the only one in this club interested in paying homage to the barely alive singer, to the annoyance of the rest. Every week during glee club she would belt out- as far as belting went for her soft voice- a song that reminded her of the brunette, who seemed to be on her mind at all times.
"You need to get over it."
Mercedes corrected. Something bubbled up inside of Quinn, she wasn't sure if it was a moment of protection for the powerless singer or a moment of hurt, but she felt like she couldn't keep it down. Not anymore.
"No, Mercedes. You know what? No, to everyone here! Rachel, the star of our club, our family, is currently in the hospital fighting for her damn life, because of us! And how do we thank her? By getting fucking over it in a few weeks? No... no, you can do whatever you want, but I will not act like this never happened. I was wrong for treating Rachel the way I did, but I will make a change. So go ahead, hit me with all the comments you want about getting over it, but I won't listen. I'll sing, but I won't listen."
The blonde felt a piercing sensation in her body as she sat back in her seat. She knew you could practically feel the group's glares from 10 miles away, but she felt, for the first time in a while, as if she had more power than them.

The door creaked slightly and in a reflex Quinn pulled her hand back from Rachel's bed immediately. Walking towards her was Doctor Green, a compassionate smile plastered on his face.
"Hi, miss Fabray. Um, did I interrupt something?"
Quinn pressed her lips together slowly, looking up at the tall man besides her.
"No, Doctor Green. It's fine. I was just..."
Quinn momentarily looked at Rachel, who laid still, hair messy but still as beautiful as ever.
"-admiring the view?"
Doctor Green smirked at Quinn, who grew red as a beet at the question.
"I- I, no!-" "It's fine, Quinn. Anyway, I have some news on miss Berry's state."
The blonde felt her heart beat faster at every word. Their hadn't been a change on Rachel's state in weeks, and even though she knew it could be bad, Quinn couldn't help but have hope.
Doctor green sighed happily, "She's showing more good signs each and every day. We think there's a big chance she could be waking up any day now! Of course, we can only know how much damage there is when she does, but all we can do is... have hope."
Quinn threw her arms around the doctor, leaving him surprised to say the least. A little yell escaped her mouth as she let go of the man, and her eyes fell on Rachel. The blonde sighed and felt a soft smile show up on her face, this was real, this was happening. Rachel was going to get her chance, and Quinn was going to be there to see it.
