When It Comes To You

Open up your mind,
clear your head,
ain't gotta wake up to an empty bed.

The sirens around them were roaring loud, making Puck lightly flinch. Rachel had been picked up with one of those big car-monsters too and that fact only added to his concern. Sure, they didn't have a lot in common and she wasn't a big fan of making out, but she was still his jew babe. Quinn was taking it even harder, Zizes basically had to carry her all the way to the car, the blonde's legs just would not move as a result of the big quantity of tears flowing freely down Quinn's cheeks. The car ride to the hospital had been filled with a painful silence, none of the three really knowing what to say, or to do, to make this a little better. So, they had stayed quiet and kept Rachel in her minds, hoping that she would make this horrible turn in her life.

Share my life,
it's yours to keep,
now that I give to you all of me.

Quinn but her lip, patiently waiting for the woman before them to be done with her long explanation of her stomach ache. When the woman actually left (after like, 10 minutes or so), Quinn's stomach dropped. This was it, they were going to see Berry, a horrible or amazing fate waiting for them.

"We would like to visit miss Rachel Berry."

A fake, pathetic smile was planted on the nurse's face, deeply enraging Quinn. How dare she act like she's some kind of a victim here? Rachel almost died, she'd almost lost Rachel. The only girl she'd ever really seen, but never really known.

"Well, take a seat in the waiting room, only family is allowed in that room for now."

Quinn snapped, launching at the nurse in the blink of an eye, Puck jumping in right on time before the mad blonde could hurt the innocent woman.

"Only family is allowed?! Well, if only family was allowed in that damn room, we would be right next to Berry right now, wouldn't we? Rachel is our friend, our family! We've all known each other for more than a year now, being there for each other through the bad and good times, Rachel deserves people she can trust and love with her right now, please just let us in!"

Quinn's voice drowned in desperation, begging to see the brunette, begging to see she's alright.

"Okay, fine, you're family, but you're not blood related, so with that miss, I'm sorry, but you still can't go in there."

Just as the cheerleader was about to 'go all Lima Heights' on the daring nurse, Puck grabbed her hand, calming her down a little immediately.

"Q, come on, what's the point? Let's just wait with the others and we'll see what happens, okay?"

Quinn turned to face the mohawked boy, slowly nodding.

"I love you, baby mama,"

Puck hugged her briefly, not much passion being showed in the embrace, but Quinn knew it took a lot from Puck to do that. She grinned sweetly at him, patting his mohawk with a smirk forming on her face.

"I know you do Puckerman, I know you do."

The group of misfits were all pushed up in the small waiting room, trying to comfort each other and themselves. Brittany snuggled up against Santana, the latina's arm planted around her middle. Artie was wheeling around the room, in his wheelchair, not being able to sit still (pun intended), and Quinn.... well, Quinn was slowly losing it. The truth was, she didn't even know why. It was a known fact at McKinley High that Quinn Fabray could not stand Rachel Berry and vice versa, except that Rachel had offered Quinn a mere friendship many times, only to be ignored by the blonde herself. But this time, there was no hate to be felt from Quinn, not even a little bit. All she could feel was hurt, hurt that God would make Rachel feel this way, hurt that Rachel would even try.... this, and hurt at the fact that she was one of the reasons of Rachel's action.

"We're gonna go get some pizza down the street, you wanna come with us?"

The softness of Mercedes voice broke Quinn from her thoughts and into reality, a reality in which she was in a hospital, waiting to see if her one and only frenemy would survive or not.

"Thanks, but I think I'm going to stay here..."

Quinn gave Mercedes a weak smile while the other diva put her hand on the blonde's shoulder and gave her a light kiss on the cheek.

"Don't be so hard on yourself, okay? We'll be right back, girl."

And with that, the whole group except Quinn left the building, leaving the girl alone with her thoughts and the hope that Rachel would make it through.

"Are you here for Rachel Berry? We have news about her if you're interested."
