Do You Feel?

Quinn had to admit it, she was completely starstruck. Rachel had surprised her entirely when she agreed to a movie night with Quinn. She had even suggested a comedy instead of a musical, which had really sent the blonde over the top.

They were in her hospital bed, watching We're The Millers on Quinn's laptop. Rachel was actually paying attention to the movie, unlike Quinn, who couldn't help but sneak looks at her friend every now and then.

Especially now that a very explicit scene of Jennifer Aniston pole dancing was playing, Quinn wasn't really looking at the screen. The girl was very aware that she would probably start blushing like a mad man if she turned her eyes for even a second, so averting her eyes was just the most logical decision she could make. She just hoped Rachel wouldn't notice and think she was a prude or anything. She wasn't.

She heard Rachel audibly swallow and Quinn's eyes widened.

"Did anything happen?"

Rachel turned her head to Quinn.

"No, she's still- Quinn? Why aren't you watching? I thought you liked this movie. You should've told me, I could've easily chosen another one!"

Quinn shook her head, swiftly turning her head towards Rachel without having to look at the screen.

"I do! I like it, I think it's hilarious, I just..."

Rachel's eyebrows furrowed before she started laughing. She had obviously connected the two dots, and Quinn was kinda embarrassed.

"C'mon... it's just some dancing, Quinn. Plus, Jen Aniston is kinda hot. Don't you agree?"

Rachel winked at her before turning back to the movie, a proud smile on her face. Quinn was still processing  what had happened. Rachel winked at her, and it made her feel a lot better than it probably should have. It didn't matter though, because she's not gay.

Quinn turned back to the movie. She grabbed the pillow and held it a little tighter. This was gonna be a long night.

The walk back home from the hospital wasn't actually that long. Rachel was staying at quite possibly the best hosipital Lima had (as far as good goes) in the best neighborhood. It was about a ten minute walk from Quinn's house, which she'd like to think meant a lot of quick visits. She hadn't been stopping by that often. School was kind of taking a toll on the blonde and on top of that, she had started to hang out with the glee kids outside of school more. Besides her friendship with Kurt, she'd found out Mercedes was possibly the funniest person she had ever met. She even went dancing with Brittany and it was one of the best nights she'd ever had. Having actual friends that you could depend on had been completely new for Quinn. As weird as it sounds, she felt excited to just turn up on someone's porch in the middle of the night for a hug, because she knew she wouldn't be turned away with a weak excuse like Santana had done to her during Sophomore year.

Quinn fished her airpods out of her bag and plugged them into her ears. Her dad had probably just come home from poker club, which meant he was probably in a good mood. Or, well... medium mood.

"Where have you been, young lady?"

Quinn rolled her eyes. She dropped her bag under the coat rack and hung her denim jacket on it. Her father and her weren't in a good place. Not that they ever had been.

"I was with a friend, daddy. I'm sorry I didn't call, I forgot." Quinn smiled at him, but she knew it probably looked weak. She hated the fact that Russel made her so scared. Whenever he opened his mouth it triggered a fight-or-flight response in her head. It wasn't the typical father-daughter relationship.
